They use mostly locally sourced products of high quality, especially when it comes to meats and fish, it's definitely quality over quantity here! For dessert I went for the apricot dumpling with lavender ice cream. My whole life I have never been a big fan of apricot dumplings but I ordered them because I felt like it and let me tell you it was the right decision. I have never had apricot dumplings this good. in. my. life. (and I grew up with that dish) The dough was exceptionally fluffy and soft, the apricots juicy and sweet and the lavender ice cream with its spice balanced out the sweetness of the apricots. Together with the crunchy breadcrumbs it was heavennn! The establishment is broken into several sections, so if you walk into the part that kinda looks like a dive bar, try the other doors. I personally like the section that feels like a comfortable pub. Their beef is just wonderful, the carpaccio, tartare, and steaks are to die for. Even their simple dish of noodles and cabbage was beautifully executed. When we went they had a keg of Augustiner dark and white beer that was left over from the Munich Oktoberfest, and a lovely on tap Weiss beer that was one of the best in town. The waiters were great, spoke quite decent English. There was a live band as well that played really well and even though we were at the next table, it was a normal volume and we could still have a conversation about how good the beer and food was.

The wienerschnitzel was AMAZING and HUGE... the pflagel was very good and felt like a very good home cooked meal, and the spetzel was also very flavorful and a great option. We tried their wine, beer and mulled wine - all had local options and were good. The service was amazing and FAST! I swear we had our food within 10 minutes of ordering in a full restaurant. If you are a big party and coming during busy season I would expect to wait for a table, it's very popular and the ambiance is very cozy!
