What they've done so far however, looks quite pretty. There's a big selection of fashion and deco fabrics and buttons to very reasonable prices. My inner Lagerfeld was already sharpening the scissors when I browsed through everything. I need to come back with a clear picture in mind of what I want to make and bring more time as well. There is A LOT of choice and they haven't even received all their stock yet, so I'm told. Watch this space!

The girl who worked there was super helpful, racing around the shop to find fabric for me and i will definetly be going back. Easy enough to find from the smithfield luas stop.

Now I know you are gong to say "Of course Q, its a toy shop, what do you expect?" and its a fair point, but this place is different - all of the toys have an educational slant and for once his doesn't mean the place is the equivalent of a stalk of broccoli to a child, the stock is well chosen and fun, and appealing to the ankle biters! They also have a whole range of art and craft supplies for those rainy days; stickers, card, glitter, glue, glittery glue etc etc etc. I know you'll really want to know so I'll tell you, after my son had recovered his power of speech we decided on a cow as a suitable memento from our visit, he was still clutching it as he went to bed this eve!

They turn out really well here for a reasonable price and the guys working here are really helpful and know their stuff too. Anyway on to the cool thing, well i think its cool and maybe a bit nerdy on my behalf! they have a ginormous printer and you get to see it all working! so cool!

The shop feels a bit empty, but maybe they're going for artful minimalism like next-door Giles Norman Photography. No Guinness artifacts or Georgian Door chocolates here. This is certainly the cheapest place for cards that I can find at the moment. You can quite often get cards there for 2 or 3 euro, as well as wrapping paper and gift bags which are also reasonably priced. They have quite a selection of cards and usually have one to meet any various card-buying needs I have. Their toy selection is always great value, although I wouldn't go there looking for something specific, rather if you're looking for a little gift on the cheap you'd certainly find something serviceable here. The also stock a mishmash of household goods like glasses, frames and cleaning products which are usually exceptionally cheap, although there is no consistency of what they have in stock. I ended up buying several and I feel like they'd be great as decor items too, or as a gift for children (and adults ). I only wish there weee even more creatures to pick from because I want them ALL! The place was also very cluttered, moving items stacked on top of what I wanted. Also another brand of the same product was on a completely different shelf behind me, which I found out after checking with staff. Final woo of my visit was the Staff member couldn't advise which brand was better. "Um, they're just different brands?". Shambolic and hard work. Getting a customer to part with their money should be made as easy as possible by a business. Only for I had been I'd been hunting for what I was after for the past two weeks did I stick at it here. Oh and one star for finding what I was after (ink pads, yay).
