Other accoutrements that can be customized are favor boxes, stickers and goodie bags. One thing that I really love about Daintree is its focus on DIY. No matter what your style, color scheme or theme is, Daintree has pretty much everything you will need to create beautiful stationary. From paper to ribbon to tools and advice, they've got it all covered. The one thing I would say that Daintree could improve upon is the range of their other items - such as notebooks, albums, streamers and other such gifty things. As you scan the shelves you are faced with an assortment of very refined and sophisticated offerings such as wedding photo albums aligned with fabric, sheets of origami paper featuring very elaborate and striking designs, lots of cards with dried out flowers as well as a selection of elaborate ribbons. Many years ago when friends of mine got married the invitations arrived on very singular paper, I was told it came from a shop in town specialising in this sort of thing... honestly I thought it sounded crazy, no business could survive selling fancy paper - thats the sort of thing children collect... or certainly did when I was a kid. cut to 10 years on and Q is wandering through Daintree on a mission... it is to do with a toddler and a biscuit (see my cake cafe review) but I also have another mission, wedding invites, this time for myself. Gorgeous paper shop offering do-it-yourself stationery products and advice for wedding invitations, personal stationery and all sorts of other invitations. Daintree is an enchanting store which is filled top to toe with beautiful recycled paper products, notebooks, photo albums and wrapping paper. The shopfront and entrance are tastefully decorated with a variety of paper products which entice passers-by into the store (it got me in there, anyway!) Advice on invitation making is scattered around the store, and being an Aussie I appreciated the warning on the side of some of the paper products - do not send to OZ or NZ - our customs department is SOOOOO strict on any kind of paper product and will not allow these babies into the country. Apparently if you do try to send this handmade paper to Australasia the lovely customs people confiscate the original and forward on a photocopy. So basically just save your pennies and email your invites to those countries ;-) If you were planning a wedding or a baby shower I imagine this would be a good place to organise the admin side of things. It's definitely a pleasant place to shop for gifts and ancillaries. And the paper gift bags behind the counter are perfect for holding precious gifts. There is something about this place that makes time slow down and reverts you back to when you were a kid and used to swop fancy/perfumed paper... Well at least I did! I love paper, especially the quality and the variety that they have in here because it means that you are about to put a lot of thought into your action. You really care for that person that you are going to write that letter to or make that card for - a labour of love. Staff where wonderful and they also cut my A4 paper into A6 size for no extra charge. I'm excited to start letter writing again. read more

Daintree Paper is one of the best stores to visit . Great atmosphere and beautiful papers that you can 't find anywhere else. They stock a range of Eco papers too. Their prices are pretty good compared to places I've checked online, and the staff go out if their way to help you. They can get very busy on a Saturday when they have all their customers looking at their gorgeous range of wedding invitations, but don 't be put off by this as there's plenty of room to browse around. I especially love their Goody Bags, at 10€, and their range of ribbons , and of course not forgetting their wrapping papers. They stock a large range of coloured envelopes, card, paper , embellishments, craft tools, and gifts such as photo albums and notebooks. All their gifts are fair trade. Overall I would recommend Daintree to anyone and everyone of all ages. Great store, great staff and great selection of products . read more

They also sell little stacks of small squares of scrap paper for quite cheap at the counter. These are perfect for decorating cards and things. It's difficult for me to rate Daintree because I haven't seen many other places in Ireland that specialize in fine papers that way that they do. True stationery shops are getting rarer in many countries, and I was confronted with this when, as someone new to living in Ireland, I wanted to find some nice writing paper to send back to beloved friends at my former home. They at least deserve that level of time and attention, don't they? Apparently, I'm a bit out of touch in holding on to this sentiment. It is also apparent that I stopped buying good stationery years ago, because I had no idea that so much had changed. Daintree mostly serves people who are planning special occasions, and they help with customization and providing a unique "personality" to people's needs, according to what they stock. I was, however, thrilled to find a variety of paper that I've used over the years in their stock, but what they carry in terms of paper and envelops varies, and they don't always have items in stock. Also, some are mixed up, etc. It can take a few minutes to figure out which papers might go with which envelopes, and what is available in the correct quantities. And, need I say it? It's a bit pricey. These aren't papers for sending informally, as I do. It's meant to be in bulk for a special event. For people who are looking to buy a package of paper for a special event, I think you'd find the experience very different, since, to be honest, you are the clients for whom this business is designed to serve. I know that I'm the odd person looking for what has become a very specialized product. And I'm lucky that Daintree carries stock that I might use, too. read more

I love make-and-do. Daintree is like fancy, grown-up make-and-do. Daintree is a lovely paper and card shop which is packed full of brides-to-be most weekends and their reluctant grooms-to-be trying to spot the difference between the various "cream" coloured pages. Daintree has every type of paper that you could imagine, they have envelopes, envelope lining, cards, stamps, stickers, ribbons, names cards, pens, albums, diaries, address books and everything you could possibly need for any writing or wedding needs. They will happily put your wedding stationary together for you or will teach you how to put it together yourself if you want to tie all your own ribbons. They do scrap bags which have bits and pieces of mismatched ribbons and papers if you do like making your own cards or just playing. They're cheaper than the normal stuff at just €10 a bag. Be prepared to spend a lot of time in this shop looking around. It's like a paper-bermuda-triangle! read more

Beautiful stock and very helpful staff. It's also much cheaper than you might imagine. It's only pricey for the original artwork and local handcrafted stuff. Paper shops like these are a dying medium I suppose so it's really almost one of a kind, at least in the area. Still, I've had need to run in here a couple of times. Really nice place. read more

lovely store, my friend got their wedding invites, so i was just browsing around... everything really lovely... good athmosphere.

Expected better to be honest. I cannot say anything good or bad about the quality of the product as I still have not received it. I ordered it online on a Wednesday (Day 1) and called the following Monday (Day 5) to enquire if it had been sent it and was told it had not. This was due to the fact that I ordered A3 size instead of A4, or so I was told but I checked my order and it definitely was confirmed for A4 size so that was a bit annoying. Anyhow I was told it would be sent that day (Monday Day 5). I called back Wednesday (Day 7) when I still had not received it and was told it was only sent on Tuesday (Day 6) (not Monday as promised). I then called on Thursday (Day 8) as I still had not got this paper. On Thursday I was told the computers crashed and it was really busy so we could not get down in time for the post so it should be with you on Friday (day 9). Thats nine days after I ordered it. I Still do not have it! Very bad customer service I have to say but the paper quality may be fantastic. I will tell you if I ever get it. read more
