Priscila is the best! Hands down and no contest!…read more I'm a full time student/intern/assistant/receptionist which means I spend a LOT of time in chairs and desks. My back, neck, and shoulders were really feeling the toll of sitting at different heights and having different ranges of lumbar support. Traveling from place to place doesn't help either. I decided it's time to seek therapy. I stumbled upon Priscila via Yelp. According to her reviews, she is very good at her work. I went to her website to see her services. Wow!!! I'm amazed at the services and prices! You really can't beat them!! Super affordable and exactly what I was looking for! So I contacted her via email for a two hour deep tissue massage. This woman deserves a prize for her work. The first thing she did was to ask what my situation was and where I needed the most attention. After explaining she gives you time to get comfortable and makes sure that you are relaxed for what comes next. She knows the body very well and was able to locate all of the knots and troubled areas. The piano music and oils she used just added to the pure release of pain and pressure in my back and neck area. She even found spots in my arms and hips that I had no idea were so stressed! Shows how little I knew about my own body and shows her expertise. By the time she finished, I was completely relaxed and a lot of my pain was gone! After the massage was over, she took the time to make sure I wasn't in any pain or discomfort. I was pretty tender in my low back but she explained that she did go pretty deep to work out the knots. She gave me advice on how to relieve some of my everyday pains. Discounts for SDSU students and staff!!! Definitely would recommend her for anyone and everyone! Thank you so much!!!

As for me, it's: S T R E S S !!! A lot of that can affect your digestion and colon so it's nice to get a little help sometimes. My girl, Jennifer P. aka Raw Vegan Ginger referred me to Gretchen from 'A Happy Colon' and I am so happy that I went to see her. Location/Ambiance: It's located in Poway near other businesses. It can be tricky to find at first but Gretchen gave me easy and detailed directions. Private parking lot with plenty of parking on a Sunday afternoon. Entrance door is 'Return to Wellness' and offers other holistic/therapeutic services from acupuncture to colon hydrotherapy. The clinic has an inviting waiting area (see pics). The vibe was automatically relaxing and welcoming. Suite is clean (pet peeve) and had a zen-like feel! Customer service: Gretchen was very informative from the start. She texted me information on what to do prior to the colon hydrotherapy and what to expect. She was also flexible with scheduling. She was very professional, kind, and made the experience very comfortable and relaxing for me. I appreciated her detailed explanations of the products and machine used. She answered all my questions and was very knowledgeable about colonics. I also found out that she's a fellow vegan too. Woot ! Prices are reasonable and if you buy packages you save more. She also has a FB page with more information. Just search 'A Happy Colon.' She accepts payment through Venmo, which is fast, safe, and secure. As of today, she offers the following: $75 for individual sessions 3/$195 - I purchased this ! 5/$315 10/$600 Coffee implants or other implants are an additional $10. For my first session I tried her organic "Therapy Coffee." I was able to take it all in, which was impressive for my first time with her. Outcome: A sense of euphoria! I know it sounds strange, but something about releasing toxins and build up from your system is invigorating. I felt cleansed and lighter after my first session. Apparently, this is normal and I ain't mad about it ! I already booked my next two sessions with her and looking forward to it. Update: A few days in and I already feel a change in my digestion. I did make a few changes with my eating habits and the biggest is taking time to actually chew my food. Haha we are always in a rush so it's important to take your time people. It can be a challenge at times due to my work schedule, but at least I have the awareness. I just need to make it a daily habit. Verdict: 5 Stars ! Highly recommend Gretchen and 'A Happy Colon.' Tell her I sent ya !! Your colon will thank you !

I want to begin by clarifying that this review is not based on the actual services provided, as…read moreunfortunately I never had the opportunity to receive care. Instead, this is a reflection of my experience interacting with the office and its handling of my situation. I am an active-duty service member with over 13 years of service, and at the time of this situation, I was stationed overseas in Bahrain. I scheduled an appointment months in advance while planning a trip back to the United States to handle important personal matters, including custody arrangements. I was referred to this practice by my ex-wife, who spoke positively about their services despite the high cost. However, during that time, government shutdowns significantly impacted military pay. Like many others, I found myself in an unexpected financial hardship due to delayed compensation. On top of that, my travel back to the U.S. was severely disrupted. Flight changes and delays left me stranded in the Philippines with my children, forcing me to spend an additional $1,500-$2,000 on emergency lodging, transportation, and other necessities. As soon as I realized I would not be able to make my appointment, I made an effort to notify the office. While in transit, I sent a text message explaining my situation, believing I was contacting a valid business line. I also followed up with a detailed email explaining the circumstances and expressing my desire not to cancel, but simply to reschedule. I made it clear that I still intended to receive services and continue care with them when I was financially stable. Despite this, I was charged a cancellation fee. After explaining my financial hardship, the fee was reduced to half, which I initially appreciated. However, even that reduced amount was not something I could afford at the time, given the circumstances I had just endured. I communicated this clearly and respectfully, hoping for understanding and flexibility. What I received instead was a response focused solely on policy and payment. Even after explaining that I did not have the funds and was dealing with significant personal and financial strain, the priority remained collecting the fee. I was informed that if payment was not made, the balance could eventually be sent to collections. This was incredibly disheartening. What impacted me most was the lack of compassion. This is a mental health-focused practice--an environment where empathy and understanding should be foundational. Yet, even when presented with a situation involving financial hardship, disrupted travel, and ongoing military obligations, there was little effort made to truly support or work with me beyond minimal concessions. Im, currently still overseas, in an active conflict environment, facing real and immediate dangers. Missile threats and attacks are not abstract concerns--they aree happening in real time, near where I live and work. While dealing with these life-threatening conditions, I continued receiving communication about a $275 charge for services that were never rendered. today as missile sirens are going off I called and paid the $275 out of the limited funds I have remaining, not because I agreed with the charge, but to stop the ongoing stress and pressure during an already overwhelming situation. It is difficult to reconcile risking one's life in service to a country--protecting the freedoms that allow businesses to operate--with the experience of being treated without empathy or flexibility in return. This was not just a financial issue; it was a human one. I had hoped to experience the level of care and professionalism reflected in the positive reviews I had seen. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of that expectation. My interaction with this practice was marked not by care or understanding, but by rigid policy and a lack of compassion during a time when it was needed most. I sincerely hope this feedback encourages reflection and change. Situations like mine may not be common, but they are real--and how they are handled matters deeply. I dont expect special treatment but, a little humanity would be nice giving the circumstances. I have email correspondence as proof I basically begged for some understanding. Now I would never spend my money here. How can people who say their passion is to help others act like this. I guess it only matters when there can be a price put on it. for a place that claims to love helping people, that didn't show up here at all. I don't expect special treatment because i'm military, I expect some sort of humanity and morals. I guess they only care to help if a price tag is attached to it. This place will never get my business! if I could go zero stars I would.
