This restaurant is more aptly called: "Slow MO's". We were really hungry and tired. It's the only place around for miles. Drinks came right away. We ordered some basic food: house chowder, salads and cheese pizza. It took 55 minutes to get our food. It was really dead inside. But way, way understaffed. No apologies. Not even a mention. what a sweet place. Owned by a Californian who also has a retreat on one of the islands, I came in the as the season was ending. People were super nice; I stayed in the hostel and the staff asked if I wanted to hang out afterwards and grill steaks. I wonder if the same people will be there year after year. The hostel itself is lovely, new and friendly, only a few rooms, with nice beds and clean bathrooms. This is a perfect spot to visit this beautiful part of NS from. read more

Really poor food--don't go here! We had fried clams, fried haddock, French fries, grilled cheese and bacon sandwich, coleslaw, and gravy. Gravy, by the way, was an extra charge, which we hadn't reallized until we got the check. Could not find the clams within the huge gobs of batter. Coleslaw was minced, in a miniature portion. Grilled cheese seemed to be American cheese, the bacon was soggy, and the bread fell apart as we ate the sandwich. Did not enjoy our meal. Service was very friendly, though. Cooking here needs an upgrade. The menu has everything going for it! read more

Tasty chowder, fried fish was light and not greasy. Staff was attentive and friendly.

Mo's is an incredible find in rural Nova Scotia. A cool internet cafe plus open oven pizza. Understated hip, welcoming, and brimming with art. Veranda reminded me of back home in Tallahassee. read more
