I've been here a few times all the way from Brooklyn to check out some competitive basketball games. It's important to check the schedule on Instagram prior to coming. You want to make sure you're away from what time the game starts, who will be playing, and if the game is canceled or postponed due to inclement weather. It's always a party and pure entertainment when I come here. There's a DJ on set playing the great music, celebrities often show up to the game(s) depending on who's playing, and the commentary during the game is hilarious. Without question I'll return here to see some more basketball games during the summer. My advice is to arrive two hours before gametime.

So we took a stroll through the colorful washington heights area. Pro: The game was full of passionate on lookers. The game ended with a player kicking the ball over the next door roof, of what looks like a factory high building. Cons: Some on lookers may not be in the best of moods after a loss. So there is a tense energy in the air. And the dark shadows of the overhead subway tracks may lead to some misbehaving' Overall: I would go back!

Free parking. John D. Rockefeller, Jr. began acquiring private parcels in 1917 as part of his vision of developing a beautiful park with majestic views of the Hudson River and Palisades for the public. Rockefeller gifted the land to the City of New York in 1931, and construction began soon after. The park is about 70 acres in area. Decades after its creation, park goers can run or walk on the park's 8 miles of pathways, play on the lawns, and enjoy the city's largest garden with unrestricted public access, the Heather Garden. We saw tons of nice flower beds and blooming plants. Fort Tryon Park is home to the Cloisters (separate Yelp review), a branch of the Metropolitan Museum of Art that houses nearly 5,000 medieval works in a building comprised of several structures from Europe. Fort Tryon Park is home to Manhattan's largest dog run, complete with a gazebo for dog owners to sit and socialize, as well as two playgrounds, volleyball courts, and built-in ping pong tables. The pristine views of the Hudson River make the park the perfect setting for exploring, meandering strolls, and picnics. The George Washington bridge can be seen from one of the vintage points. If you are in the area, check it out...it's located on the northern part of Manhattan close to the border with the Bronx on the NW corner of the island.

The playground it's always clean and has bathrooms. The park has Basketball courts, tables , chess and even hand bars. The park is also good for babies as there are baby swings. This park is not the best park for large dogs since there are a lot of kids running around. I would say if you keep walking down to Bronx park east there is another field with lots of space to walk around for larger dogs or even small dogs. There is a baseball field but it's a wide large park.
