We have worked with Joe for our last few mortgage renewals - he has always been attentive, prompt, and professional in all our interactions. Joe proactively contacted us earlier than our renewal year, to explain our options; we got a better rate than originally planned - even with renewing a year early, what we will now save in that year with the new rate is more than what we would have paid in interest, so it was worth it. I never would have sourced that info myself, so I appreciate his proactive approach. He does a great job of explaining things in easy to understand terms, and is quite diligent in his timelines. We had enough lead time to gather documents, ask questions, and even forget to reply to an email or two! We never felt rushed, but he kept us on track to make sure everything was in order and done in time to secure the best rate. I appreciate being able to send an email to him with any question, concern or clarification I have; he takes the time to thoughtfully answer each one and if he doesn't have the answer right away, he always finds out and gets back to me quickly. This is why you work with a good broker like Joe - they do the heavy lifting and make sure you feel informed and supported every step of the way. Thanks Joe! read more

September 27,2019 Having to pay mortgage after retirement is quite challenging. I needed to pay debts and it was tough until I decided to refinance my mortgage. My mortgage lender at the time nor other banks wouldn't touch me. But the Mortgage Connection broker Joe Toteda helped me out. In fact he helped me find my previous mortgage lender with low interest to boot. He went out of his way to ensure that I could get my mortgage refinanced quickly and debts paid. He has great resources in my view. now I feel free and relaxed. I could manage my mortgage and normal monthly expenses without problems. Most of all, I could enjoy and continue living in my beautiful home forever! I would certainly recommend Joe Toteda at Mortgage Connection for any of your mortgage needs. He is trustworthy, and professional. Mortgage Connection is in Calgary, but they helped me here in Richmond B.C. So it really doesn't matter which province you live in, they can help you. And for all of you who's retired like me, contact them if you need a broker, believe me they are better to approach than banks! and they'll find you the best interest rates. Thanks again Joe Toteda for all of your efforts, and seeing me through. Ophelia G. read more

Worked with Joe J. Really a Pro through-out. Easily and effortlessly assisted us through the process. For first time home buyers, going through the process of buying a home, and just overall aiding in the potential mine-field that is real estate, could not have hoped or asked for a better person, or a better team. Asked us the right questions, answered all of ours, left feeling like a huge weight had been removed from our shoulders. read more

But more than anything, I appreciate the knowledgeable advice Joe has provided on the many financing options available, rental properties, referrals to other professionals (lawyers, realtors, etc), and on other housing topics. read more
