I first contacted TrueNorth almost 2 months ago and got Michelle Clark as my mortgage broker. From the beginning, she was informative and never pressured me to go with TNM, unlike several other lenders that I inquired with. She gave me straightforward answers and was very patient in answering a myriad of questions. She was readily available when needed and guided me through the entire mortgage process, step-by-step. Additionally, when sending me documents for review/signage, she sent short descriptive blurbs on what everything was for and never failed to mention an important detail. I ran into some hiccups with the previous lender while re-financing my mortgage and Michelle kept me updated every step of the way and escalated my concerns when necessary. She navigated a very sticky situation in an astute way, which I appreciated. Not only is Michelle a true professional, she is also friendly and easygoing, which made the process super smooth. Lastly, service level aside, the rates TNM offered were the lowest on the market and I spoke to several brokers. For all those pessimists out there that stick with their traditional big Bank rates at renewal your missing out! I've always done the same and accepted what the Banks offered. I decided to try something different, so I started doing my online research (before the 120 day to renewal) and found True North Mortgage group. Their rates were amongst the best I found online. They deal with numerous lenders with different options that May be best suited to you. I read many comments about True North and the person I chose to work with Nalie Nguyen in the Calgary office. She was great!! And took the time to answer all my questions & concerns. She provided us with 2 great rates from 2 different lenders, then quarter backed Everything till the end. My Bank wouldn't even consider matching the rate to keep us as a client, so much for a relationship... I was a bit hesitant to arrange for a mortgage online, having always gone the traditional route of visiting a bank branch. But I searched for lowest rates and came across True North Mortgage. I recently renewed my mortgage with Hiren from True North Mortgage. He helped me with renewal but also helped me receive a really great rate as well. Hiren was very knowledgeable and I learned a couple things along the way for future renewals etc. Hiren was awesome to work with and even helped me get a better rate then the one I was happy with.
