After talking with a few other families, it seems this is a sentiment shared by others, which is disappointing to hear. As someone who also works with the public, I know that everyone has "off" days. However, the front office is the first point of contact for the school community. When families are met with a lack of respect, courtesy, kindness, and patience, it sets a negative tone for the entire building.

They nickel and dime you to death. They will charge you for sneezing in the wrong place. And during the COVID crisis, they are still charging for the daycare hours. They claim to be offering instruction online, but they aren't offering daycare. It doesn't bother me as much, but we know of families with babies in room 1. The videos this place is posting don't help at all. They aren't providing their service anymore and they are not adjusting the room 1 families' tuition. That's just not right. So, we like the treatment our children received here, but I question the ethics of a place that is this much about the bottom line.

From our very first campus tour, we were struck by the warm and welcoming environment. Jennie, the admissions director, was incredibly professional and thorough. She took the time to walk us through the campus, explain the school's philosophy, conduct a thoughtful assessment of our child, and patiently answer all of our questions. Compared to other schools we toured, Fairmont stood out as organized and personal. We left feeling confident that this would be the right fit for our son. Our oldest child enrolled in the summer program at 3.5 years old. The transition from daycare couldn't have gone more smoothly. While he initially missed his old friends, he was enthusiastic about the wide variety of engaging activities Fairmont offered. By the end of the summer, he was already familiar with the staff, teachers, and layout of the campus, which made starting the school year a breeze. His teacher that fall was kind, nurturing , and invested in his development--academically, emotionally, and socially. As parents, we had complete peace of mind leaving him in her care. Our oldest thrived at Fairmont, which is why enrolling our other two children felt like a natural choice. Even the principal has stated that she is powerless to implement any changes. Kids are correcting mistakes made by the teachers. The teachers give take home test (are you kidding me?) if homework is assigned then follow the normal process and state it in google classroom. They are kids and most probably will not remember what you told them verbally throughout the day. Detention is assigned for no reason. Due to a computer glitch, the teacher didn't get some of the kids homework that they have already completed.Guess what, detention. Future parents, please be cognizant of your kids time in this school and trust me take them to another school. You and your child will be much happier oh btw don't think for a second that you can speak out about the treatment your child is getting. Your kid will be punished (I promise) A few of these damn upper grade teachers are the worst.....Remember who pays your salary.

This school really likes to focus on "community". Which it is - from our PTA, parents, teachers, staff, and students this school is all about empowering all to know they can make a difference. With all schools - it takes a village - each and every one of us doing our part. I can't send my kids to school and expect them to learn everything they need to know if I am not willing to put in the work at home, enforce respect to self and others, and teach them standard kindness, responsibility and accountability. The more we put into our young community the more kids can grow and flourish.
