You also can top up your mobile phone and pay cash/credit card Also it does not have customer toilets. Even this filling station do have a Car Wash which it is a brilliant, and I have used it, and it is quite reasonable priced. Also they do gives you free water for the windscreen, and air as well. This filling station tends to get busy during peak time, and the exit to the road are quite good, as it is controlled by traffic lights, so you will get in and out quite easily.

The store is open 24/7 as you'd expect, they have a Starbucks Coffee machine inside and a small range of food/grocery items, some items were reasonably priced for a petrol station and not ultra-expensive, but obviously, you wouldn't want to buy food items from here unless you had no other option as they still end up costing considerably more than nearby supermarkets. Petrol is, of course, a little expensive here as you'd expect. The overall service station was pretty clean, I liked how they have a clear pathway from the street for pedestrians who want to access the store which is handy, although it is a good walk from Burnley town centre and even Barracks Station, so I would say to come in a car if you're able too. Sadly, there are no Amazon Locker facilities here, although a nearby Texaco garage/service station which is just under a mile away does offer them, I do think they're missing a trick by not offering them here, however, as there is a lack of them in Burnley as a whole. 4*

Tebay Motorway Services, on the M6 in Cumbria, certainly offers a different experience to what one…read morewould usually find at motorway services, gone are the usual fast food brands from Burger King to Subway, and gone are the big coffee shops from Starbucks to Costa, being replaced with a Farm Shop. I like the idea of a farm shop, but for a motorway service station, I really don't think it works, as it replaces a stop on the motorway, where one could get a bite to eat or essentials like a newsagent like WHSmith. I was shocked to learn that despite having a Farm Shop, which was quite well stocked with many fresh produce items, and unique brands including the Lake District Distillery (One of the best British vodkas around), they had no gluten-free food, other than a vegan pie, and a couple of fries. I was told that despite the Farm Shop being listed as being open until 9 pm online, they only offer a full service in the morning and early afternoon, and would not be able to do a gluten-free snack or sandwich after 4 pm, which I find pretty ridiculous, they have a lot of pre-made food but if you're gluten-free, you're going to be left hungry. There is a communal seating area and toilets which are required to be open 24/7 by law, as well as coffee machines and a very small food offering for non-GF folks on their 24/7 menu, but this is only fulfilling their legal requirements as a service station. I didn't find it to be clean or inviting overall in this area. The staff member seemed friendly, she seemed to genuinely care and seemed to be upset she could not find anything for me to eat too. I do like the idea of a farm shop offering a unique range of products, and this certainly isn't terrible, but it doesn't work as a motorway services, It takes something to have me missing the likes of McDonald's and Subway, and it appears this may be it. 2*

I no longer stop anywhere else as no service station can beat the Cumberland sausage on offer here. Did I tell you there is a duck pond? No how did I miss that watching the ducks is an amazing break from the monotony of the drive. Shopping here is a must, quality food is available from the farm shop including my favourite the triangle black pudding. Give up stopping at crap service stations stop here :p

This place was a life saver on our recent walk of the Hadrian's wall path. We had a hiking book…read moregive up the ghost after 15 years and lost the sole in the middle of the trail!!! What to do? Well, take a taxi to Haltwhistle and peek in here. They have a variety of boots and shoes. Can't say anything about their other services for on one day in July, this place totally saved our hiking trip and we got to continue on with no fuss and no muss. Staff was supper nice and helpful. So they have to get 5 stars!
