Built in 2005 and formerly called the Redfield Campus, the Health Science Center is located in the…read moreGalena area. The Radiologic Technology program is now located here and it will be the future home of the Nursing program, as well. The pros? Because this is a much lower-volume campus than the Dandini campus, parking and computers are ample and faster than the ones at Dandini (as of 2015, that is). Facilities include seven general classrooms, two science labs, one nursing lab, an open computer lab, a distance education classroom, library resource center and faculty offices. It is very quiet and is a good place to study. There is currently a great deal of construction underway at present, and I look forward to seeing how this facility grows. The cons? Depending on where you're coming from, the commute can be BRUTAL. Definitely leave yourself extra time when you're headed to this campus!

This new system is so difficult to figure out and I don't understand why Manogue found they needed to switch it. This is a small issue that over time I know all families will just need to learn to love the new system. However, not only has the school's tuition gone up, which causes more financial strain on families but they have started to charge for little things, most recently they have started to charge a $100 schedule change fee. This is absolutely absurd. This is a small request on behalf of a family already paying so much money to attend Manogue and they have the audacity to charge us $100 to try and change a class. I cannot believe that they have gotten to this point. Very disappointed and saddened by this.

What makes this place special is that it is not just a coworking space. It is a true innovation ecosystem built by the University of Nevada - Reno and Switch to help entrepreneurs, startups, remote tech workers, creators, students, and small businesses succeed. Over the years, I have watched countless companies grow here. The environment naturally creates collaboration between experienced business owners, engineers, software developers, researchers, students, investors, and mentors. You constantly meet talented people who are willing to help each other succeed. The benefits are incredible: * Affordable coworking and office space * Conference and meeting rooms * Networking events and startup community access * Mentorship opportunities * Access to University resources and research connections * Makerspace access with 3D printers, machine shop tools, woodshop equipment, and prototyping resources which I've used very successfully * Startup ecosystem support and accelerator connections * A welcoming environment for both experienced entrepreneurs and people just getting started The makerspace alone is amazing. Having access to advanced tools, equipment, and knowledgeable staff creates opportunities that most small businesses and startups could never afford on their own. Another thing I appreciate is how community focused the Innevation Center is. It genuinely feels like the heart of Reno's startup and innovation scene. The events, workshops, Startup Weekend programs, and networking opportunities consistently bring together people who are building real businesses and solving real problems. The staff has always been outstanding over the many years I've been there. Helpful, professional, encouraging, and truly invested in the success of their members. Reno is lucky to have a place like this. The Innevation Center has helped transform Northern Nevada into a real technology and entrepreneurship hub, and I'm grateful to have been part of it for over a decade.
