A huge record collection that made me want to buy a record player. The cutest of red shirts was $30. Friendly service too! So many other things. I am glad I have a small suitcase on this trip. lol. I'm going to rapid list all the stuff I saw to give you an idea of what's here: ready, set, go! Jewelry, clothes, playing cards, furniture, shoes, records, earrings, collectibles, patches, artwork, and more!! Do it!! Come here for your next treasure. And excellent prices!. SYOY!!

The owner Rachael is so sweet and her customer service is top notch. She's got style and it shines loud and proud in her store. Black Luck has an incredible selection. The prices are great and reasonable. I also noticed it's very organized and well kept, I love to see someone take pride in their work. Music playing in the store is pleasant and fits the aesthetic. Rachael has amazing holiday decor for sale, especially vintage Halloween. Everywhere you look there's something unique to catch your eye, whether it's for sale or a permanent fixture in the store. These kinds of stores are my weakness and I'd have to say Black Luck is at the top of my list of vintage stores in the Morongo Valley, Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree (29 Palms Highway) area. Must visit if you love vintage clothing and accessories, the obscure, nostalgia, kitsch, unique gifts, hard to find collectibles, and so much more. Thank you Rachael for the great experience and I will absolutely recommend you to anyone heading your way. I hope to visit again soon.

This is definitely the best thrift shop in town, where you can actually get great deals and…read moreprices...... not like most of the other ones in Yucca Valley. The lady there was a gem in herself. I bought a bunch of flowers for my soulfurbaby's memorial place. Thanks to her, I was able to get plenty of different kinds, so I can switch them out depending on the season. I will definitely go back. I highly recommend Brand Spanking Used to anybody looking for super nice customer service, low prices, wonderful specials and a much more personal feel vs being in a "store". Thank you so much for your kindness, and helping me fixing up my Kiya's special place. Blessings, Christina and Kiya

First of all the name of the store is awesome! "Brand Spankin Used Thrift Store". They have a lot…read moreof items in this store. Plenty of different categories too! I saw some arts and crafts, and was able to search through the bins at my leisure. Found an old school game, knock off version. Which was fine with me. I also saw a few Disney items I thought were cute. One managed to make its way home with me! The customer service was outstanding! There was a young man and young woman holding down the fort. They were friendly and easy to talk with. When he rang us up, he gave me pretty good deals on all my items. Some were already reasonably marked, and some I got a discount on. We also bought some kettle corn. We asked if it was fresh, and we were a bit skeptical. I explained how our local farmer's market snookered us (they were popping fresh kettle corn, and gave me a stale one!) At Brand Spankin Used, they said their boss brings it in often, and it is super fresh! They were not wrong! It was a nice treat for the ride home. If we are in the area again, I would definitely stop by. Alas, it is too far for us to frequent regularly.

There are two places I trust completely when it comes to putting together a truly chic, upscale…read moreboho look. One is in Palm Springs and the other is in Joshua Tree, and between the two of them, you can create something that feels entirely your own. In Palm Springs, it's The Frippery. In Joshua Tree, it's The End. These are not stores where you walk in and grab something off a rack and call it a day. This is where you build a look. The pieces are curated, the textures are right, and there's a very intentional mix of vintage, statement, and elevated boho that you just do not see everywhere else. You can feel that the owners understand style, not just trends, and that makes all the difference. It will take many pieces to bring it all together, so take your time. Do not rush through it. Let yourself explore, try things on, and really pay attention to what feels right. This is not about grabbing one perfect item. It is about layering, editing, and building something slowly until it becomes your look. The right jewelry, the right gloves, the right hat or bolero. Every detail matters. You never quite know what the final result will be, and that is part of the magic. It is a process. You shift things, you refine, and then suddenly it all comes together in a way you could not have planned from the beginning. What I love most is that you are not going to walk into an event and see someone else wearing the same thing. That almost never happens anymore, and here it feels possible again. You leave with something personal, a little unexpected, and completely your own. If I really wanted to impress someone, this is exactly how I would do it. I would pull pieces from both shops, layer everything together, add a little glamour, and show up dressed to the nines, but still effortless, still boho, still cool without trying too hard. Trust the process. You are going to walk out wearing something absolutely killer.
