I fell in love with a beautiful silver and gemstone bracelet, but being my NY resolution was to not be so shopping impulsive, I decided to let it be for someone else. My friends raved about The End on our drive to Joshua Tree from LA so I was looking forward to checking it out. The store had an eclectic mix of vintage and new items and quite a few jewelry cases by independent artists which was cool. They also had apothecary items, candles, soaps, oils, mists, etc. I kept finding myself seeing something, looking for the price and discovering it was marked "not for sale" so that was a bummer. It's totally not a thrift store as mentioned in other reviews but I was not under the impression that it ever was? Not sure where people got that idea. The girl working the day we were in was polite and helpful. It was a cute spot to check out just a little cluttered, all over the place, and funky for my taste - to be fair I think that's the vibe they're going for. Omg, this place is gorgeous. I am so sad because I could only spend a few minutes here but from what I saw in my short visit, I could tell that this little shop has it all. Visited this shop while in Yucca. They have a lot of fun, vintage items, funky art as well as soaps, perfumes and salves. The prices seemed a bit high. But there were some reasonable pieces- found a nice pair of shorts for $14, but weren't my size :( The 4 stars are for the vibe, super welcoming, friendly & knowledgeable staff. HOLY Vintage gear. I believe they called this shop The End because it WILL be the end to all your vintage-seeking, thrifting needs. This is IT!! Clear down 29 Palms Hwy is this beautiful shop that you absolutely can't miss. It's bright, full of life, and has the coolest side murals that will take you back to Woodstock or remind you of your first Coachella rave. Once inside, you're immediately lost in trance by all the wild patterns and bright colors that surround ya. Seriously, you will want to re-do your whole wardrobe and become a flower child again. Long dresses, distressed jean jackets, vintage handbags, woven rugs, crystal necklaces and rings the size of yo face, parkas, overalls, succulent plants, and those amazing strap sandals you forgot to get on your way to Joshua Tree. Parking is wherever you can pull up, maybe some gravel-semi paved parking spot place. Plan to spend at least an hour. Maybe 2 hrs including the time it takes for you and your loved ones to have a quick photoshoot in front of the colorful murals on the side of the building. The owner is the sweetest lady ever. I will bet money over Yelp you won't ever find a vintage shop this cool in a steamin' hot desert anywhere else..bet! Road trip here now. :D read more

I adventure to JT once a month... one Saturday I made some extra time to shop further down road past these vintage shops I adore... it was then found it. The most amazing shop packed the most tasteful, unique pieces I could find! I could spend hours in here, trying on everything! As I walked in I wasn't greeted by any staff, the sizes are small if you are plus size don't even bother. I was surprised by the prices everything ranges in the high 100's to four digit prices. I would expect those prices for "vintage Chanel" or "vintage Dior" not brands I've never even heard of. Will not be returning. read more

My friend and I were driving along the 62 with the wind in our hair, shades on, music blasting. All of time seemed to have stopped as suddenly our eyes feasted on this stunningly adorable vintage store. We were on our way to camp at Joshua Tree, but that had to wait... shopping had to be done. Ok but seriously, the cute facade of this store pales in comparison to what's inside. Upon walking into this store , you are immediately up to your eyes in vintage overload. They have a couple of small rooms with racks lining the walls and clothes arranged according to color. Even if you don't buy anything, it was worth it just to see the quality of items there and peruse the racks. They have some pricey pieces with designer labels, but they also have more affordable pieces that are still stunning. We loved this shop so much we had to come back the next day just to soak up the beauty of this store... and make another purchase ;) Besides clothes, they have amazing statement jewelry and handbags, and a small shoe section in the back. There are a number of really cool vintage clothing stores in Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree, and The End is one of the best. Actually, I'd say it's among the best vintage shops ANYWHERE, including LA where I'm from. I always see something I love when I'm browsing here, though unfortunately not always in my size (but hey, that goes with the territory when shopping for vintage clothes/shoes). While a wide range of styles are represented, you will especially love The End if, like me, you're into boho and 60s/70s style clothing and accessories (actually there's quite a bit of 80s stuff also). My finds include a gorgeous suede fringe jacket, a totally unique leather bag, a 70s biker-style belt and several peasant/gypsy/bohemian tops. I also saw the most fabulous pair of 70s platform shoes but sadly not in my size. In addition to clothes and shoes, The End also carries unique artisan jewelry and accessories, truly fantastic artwork, some natural beauty products and an awesome selection of home decor and crafts. We got a stunning vase, ceramic bowls, throw pillows and hanging planters/pots for our home, and I have my eye on several other things. Honestly, I'm not sure if I love The End more for styling myself or our house! Either way, owner Kime Buzzelli has put together a wonderfully eclectic mix of goods you don't want to miss. read more

It's pretty hard not to spot this place as you are making your way up 29 Palms to get to Joshua Tree. I am so glad we decided to pull over and find out what was inside of this colorful building. -----I was in heaven! This store is filled with cool vintage finds and has incredible jewelry everywhere you look. It is hard narrow down your purchases to just a few items; the store is so well curated! The space itself is a site to see! The decor and pieces all worked together to create a unique environment that seems to add more to the small town vibe. The staff is also really cool and welcoming. This is my favorite place to shop in the high desert. Vintage, unique pieces, handbags, shoes and jewelry. The girls who work there are always so helpful. Not in a loom over you sort of way but in a "if you tell me what you like, I know where it's at in the store" kinda way. The girls know every single piece they have in the store and where it's at. Totally amazes me every time. The jewelry is to die for. My favorite necklace I bought at the End. I'm always overwhelmed every time I go in because there is just so many beautiful things to choose from. If you are looking for clothes in the high desert and don't want your basic crap, this will be the only place you need to stop. Maybe that's why they call it "The End".
