Bright, colorful and lively, Morning Glory is predominately a Korean (at times, Japanese) stationery store, although the chain also carries phone charms, plushies, cosmetics and other novelty items. Most stores have a clothing section and photo booths.
The Pros: Most items are very affordable and very attractive. If you need to buy gifts for a female friend but are in a bind about what to get, it's worth going to the section where they pre-package a random mix of books, notepads, pens, erasers, knick-nacks etc for about $10 - $15.
The Cons: Pretty much nothing from Morning Glory is sturdy or built to last, so handle items with care. If you're not teeny-tiny, none of their clothes will fit you. Never ever buy shoes from here (they're prone to coming apart, even though they're visually appealing) and I would advise against purchasing any earbuds/headphones from them as they often turn out to be faulty.
I have spent so much money here it borders on embarrassing. I'm wondering if I'm single-handedly keeping them going, because it's gotten to the point that some of the staff have given me freebies. Best freebie was a CD/DVD rack!
EDIT: Morning Glory does carry some Sanrio (Hello Kitty) products, but they mostly carry San-X merchandise. read more
