He was also polite and respectful with asking for my preference about him wearing a mask. On his way out, it occurred to me to ask him a question about a concern I had about an old outlet. He came back in to check it out and was willing to replace it right then, and taught me how to know when one should be replaced. I found two others in the house while he did that one and he was willing to replace those, too, in spite of having another job scheduled after mine. I expected to have to pay him extra for that work, but when I got the invoice, he didn't charge me extra because apparently the big job he came for didn't take quite as long as he'd expected. Our tech Alex arrived on time as promised. After trying and failing to clear it, he arrived at the same conclusion. He was able to get a new toilet, install all in 90 minutes and left within three hours from the start of the appointment. We thought we needed a massive wiring job to get a level 2 charger installed in our garage. Joshua took time to talk on the phone about the job, asked great questions beforehand, then came out the next business day to look at the install job and give me a quote. He counselled us OUT of doing the work, and for that, I'm SO GRATEFUL. he could have easily just talked about the necessity of the job, and I wouldn't have known better. But, he's a good, ethical guy, and could appreciate our situation, and so he told us how we could make the best of our situation without massive demo and conduit, and crazy expensive wiring. And, he did it all graciously with a smile. What he got out of talking himself out of this job, is complete loyalty for any and all future jobs we'll ever need.
