She was pleasant, arrived on time and after we explained our dilemma she quickly got to determining what rock we had, yes folks no rock is the same. We had lava rock which was in its place but through the years the gray river rock (I guarantee that's not the right type but it's all I know) was sparse and the popular black plastic to avoid weeds was showing it's face like a weed of it's own. She measured and calculated and the price was beyond fair (delivery and install woo hoo). Now the question...how *gulp* soon can you do it? 1 week folks! We were nervous about making time for their arrival but no fear they would deliver, install and we need not be present to win. The delivery date arrived and before I left work a friendly message from Marti "we are All done let us know what you think.". We arrived and no longer was our curb appeal an eye sore. I have an open floor plan in my house, and I wanted them to build a soffit to delineate space between the kitchen/dining area and the living room, put a faux beam under it, and make it look like it's always been there. I also wanted them to attach faux beams from the soffit to the wall across the space to create a modern take on Viga beams. They did a stunning job. The quality of their craftsmanship is clear. He was able to grasp the mid-century modern look that we wanted and paired us with an architect who could complete the drawings. Typical Adobe construction cost per square foot in this area is super high, preventing a lot of artists from building their dream space. Utilizing metal buildings, was a great solution for us, and having lived in a metal structure before we knew it could work. We just needed somebody who also believed we could make this happen, and that's where Robbie shined! Since we're artist, details matter, as does creative solutions. I wish I could post all our pictures here for you to see what an amazing job Robbie did. From polished concrete floors that we threw marbles into, to angled beams that lend our structure an MCM appeal, to a beautiful glass windows and doors that allows light to stream in, create a heat gain during the winter and allow us to see the beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
