Joe Mays Towing came to my home in the middle of the night and towed my car from the parking lot…read morewithout cause. I've parked in the same spot every single day for the past two years with no issues. I got home from work around 8 PM, parked as usual, and when I went outside at 8 AM to leave for work, my car was gone. They towed my vehicle 10 miles away and then charged me $300 to get my own car back. The person who claimed to be the manager was extremely rude during the entire interaction. He told me my car was towed because my permit "wasn't shown," even though it absolutely was. He also admitted they towed another car because the permit was "hidden," which tells me they are not even properly checking for permits before towing people's vehicles. When I questioned their pricing, he said that if I needed a tow from the side of the road it would be a "different rate," but refused to tell me what that rate even is. Completely sketchy and suspicious behavior. The fact that they can't or won't provide the standard roadside tow rate raises more concerns about the legitimacy of the $300 charge. I also asked for an itemized receipt and proof that my permit supposedly "wasn't there," and they refused to provide either. That alone says everything about how they operate. This was completely unnecessary, stressful, and expensive--especially when my permit was visible the whole time. Their behavior shows a lack of care, professionalism, and accuracy when towing from residential areas.

One of the few things I will miss about living in Northern Dauphin County is Bob's Radiator Shop…read more Located on a small back road just off Rt 225 and Tourist Park Rd, Bob's one-man shoppe is not just limited to radiator repairs. Bob has been doing most of my repair work for years. His shop is convenient to my parents' house and we all consider him a friend of the family. Bob has always been very accommodating when my car failed inspection, allowing me to purchase and replace my own tires, windshield wipers, lights, etc., thus saving me the expense of paying him to do it. He has also allowed us to source our own replacement parts, which saves him time and hassle and us, money. I've often bought my own brake shoes, alternators or starters and Bob has had no problem installing them for me. When Bob does obtain the parts, I've always found his markup to be reasonable and fair. I have never had something else mysteriously break after my car was in his shop and he has never fixed anything (or failed an inspection) that didn't need to be fixed. Bob's Radiator Shop is not just for radiator fixes, he can do all manner of auto repair in an honest, reliable and usually quick manner. Bob is a top notch pro.

We then took it to our local garage and they confirmed this but also found 3 spots under the vehicle that should have made it never pass inspection. I called them, they apologized and gave us our money back. I see they are trying to resell this vehicle at $6995, knowing they should never have allowed it to pass inspection. I will never do business with these scammers again. Stay away from this dealership or at least have your vehicle looked at someone you trust before buying it. I have provided photos that we took.

The mechanics are thorough and skilled and the prices are fair. We've had everything done here - cosmetic fixes as well as engine and trailer repairs.
