The previous occupant kept dogs and cats in the house and my nose and sinuses would let me know as soon as I walked in. I called around and got estimates. Brooks fireplace and hvac is very reasonable, courteous, professional and took care of me in a very timely manner. I needed to have it done before the cold hit. They took care of me quickly and went over everything making sure I understood what needed to be done. Both Ronnie and Renee will answer your questions about the work and explain how hvac works most efficiently. You can tell from talking to Renee she has hvac in her blood. Her family is the original Brooks hvac, she and Ronnie her husband took this segment when her Dad and Mom got out of the business. So if you want generations of experience, really good work and honest people come here. Brooks fireplace and hvac is now my go to for all my hvac needs.

I bought my AC and heating unit from this place. I was oversold and it was installed incorrectly…read more They had to come out about a dozen times to fix the mistake. Once after the inside unit caught fire. Over a year later it's been one problem after the next. I had to call another company and was told they've never seen such a botched job and they were floored. I called Brooks to complain and let them know of my disappointment and was told I have no common sense by the owner's wife. She got very ugly with me for the horrible job they did. I had a right to be upset, but they cared only about themselves rather than apologize for all the inconvenience and money and time I've spent trying to use a $7,000.00 unit that's been a nightmare. At first they are very nice, but if you call them out on the job they do, they are very mean people. They even called my husband and chewed him out after I left my rating of them on a different website. Once they never showed up for a scheduled appointment because he forgot. I would keep looking for someone else if I were you. This place never was able to fix their mistake and they are unprofessional.

NEED A GREAT PLUMBER? Just had Brandon of Ski Plumbing back to fix something else on my aging home…read more My bathtub was leaking and I was expecting I would have to take out a HELOC, but Brandon diagnosed it as not the disaster I feared and had it fixed in about two hours (including going for a needed part). As usual, he fixed something else about the tub that I hadn't requested, installing a very nice stopper system. (I was using a plastic stopper from Dollar Tree and the drain had rusted!) He also regrouted in a color that matched what I had, which wasn't white. Brandon is a large man and can handle almost any job on his own, so I don't have to pay $70 or more dollars an hour for a "helper" to stand around watching a plumber. He will also work odd hours if he is needed in an emergency. He had 10 years of experience working for one of the best and largest plumbing companies in Shreveport before he started Ski Plumbing five years ago. He's also a pleasure to talk with and works quickly and efficiently without making a huge mess. His prices are very reasonable, especially when compared to the going rates of the large companies. I rarely recommend any person or business, but I wholeheartedly recommend Brandon "Ski" Chmielewski of Ski Plumbing for both inside and outside plumbing jobs.
