Wow I wish I had read the reviews before I had gotten involved with them. They got me with one of their lawyers. He said he was in ft Lauderdale. After taking their 40%plus taxes and fees. He took another $9,274.97 which he said had to go in a trust for 90 days in case I have debtors involved with my case such as medical expenses. Even after I object and him making me sign a disclaimer that such debtors can't go after them. I had no debtor. Because the case took so long I ended up paying little by little whatever I could because I did not want it going against my credit. When the 90 days were up I wrote him an email find out how I will be getting the rest of the money from the "trust". He never replied to my email. When I called their number, he nor his paralegal never answered or returned my call. I called the office and spoke to a secretary and left messages he never returned my call. This law firm is horrible. First, they told me that I had a case and even assigned a caseworker. I reached out several times for over 2 weeks and didn't get a return call back. I had no idea where to submit my picture of my injury or paperwork related to my doctor visit. The caseworker that was originally working with me no longer works at the firm And I wasn't notified at all. I sent my email to them on June 5th reiterating the case with attachments. No response again and they know that most people statistically then put their complaints to rest. This is not a way to run any business "for the people" who need legal counsel but instead get stack ranked by their tech/AI platforms with managed by winning analytics and payout probabilities. Very disappointed!! I called them initially and someone took down my information for an attorney to review my case. No one EVER called me back.. I had to call THEM back to find out what was going on and they told me that they did not want to take my case. I highly highly highly recommend this law firm! my personal interaction with them was due to an injury where I work, and the owners talking me into not going to the doctors and continuing to work for a cpl months until I literally could not lift my right arm. And I'm a bartender. And Investigator came to my house. I did not have to drive an hour and a half in traffic for my primary meeting. I was treated with dignity, grace, respect, and I was kept in the loop with everything .. florida's Workmen's Comp. laws unfortunately really suck and do not in any way fully cover the amount you get screwed over .. (Fla laws ) and don't even come close to offering to be able to cover your losses and I didn't even attempt to try to recover my lost wages. (Losing more than half of my shifts for months to go to physical therapy ) My bosses didn't pay one bill and it was going to ruin my credit score, and they forced me to go to Morgan And Morgan. Wow I couldn't believe it. My wife is in need of a attorney. So Morgan and Morgan was the first one that came to mind. Due to the family commercials. Before, now I read the reviews, and I was a little concerned. But, still chose to call them. When I asked them what happened with my wife's case that she had called, and we did not get any response. I was told that she was referred to another firm. I guess if you haven't been decapitated in an accident they won't take your case. If I could rate zero I would. I was assigned Lilé Scaglogna and Peter Kram. Lile does not like to respond to emails and when I would ask for a response after not getting one for almost two weeks, she would reply gaslighting me. After dealing with horrible client care from her, I finally had to escalate my case after she didn't even begin to start requesting my records for two months. The client experience team is also really bad. You are told you'll hear back in 24-48 hours. I would have to call back after a week of not hearing anything multiple times. I was told my lawyer Peter would call me back within 24-48 hours (he had never bothered to call prior and I had been a client for over 6 months at this point). Again, I had to call back after a week of no response. Peter convinced me to stay on with them only for Lile to completely try and screw my case over out of clear retaliation. Due to her negligence in properly handling my case, my insurance didn't want to give me anything for my injuries. Luckily, I switched over to a really wonderful law firm that did a complete 180° turn from Morgan & Morgan. After reviewing my case, they were shocked and appalled how my case had been handled. They were able to settle my case effectively and were able to settle my case like it should have originally been done. After I dropped them and switched firms, they let go of my mother out of animosity who was injured in the same accident with me. She also hired the new firm I went with and has been much happier. She insisted i settle the case for next to nothing and told me that we should not pursue the case. They took my case sent me to doctors and then dropped my case because I didnt let my case manager talk rudely to me. Now I'm stuck with all my own medical bills that cant be covered by other insurance I'm stuck with about 8 thousand dollar debt . There is a real problem with a system set up like this. If I took a job and ripped out someone's kitchen then seen that I don't care for the person. That won't excuse myself from the job and they would have right to sue me. I am not the easiest client I know, and my disbelief with the workmans compensation laws in Florida made me even more difficult. Atty. Blake Lange of M&M (and his assistant Alecia) explained every last ridiculous detail of this broken system and spent more time than the case was eventually worth working with me. I believe from the settlement, which I never expected as the pain, reduced quality of life and job performance, and time it took to get any treatment are not considerations in a WC case, that the workmans compensation was willing to do anything but face this firm in court. I only called them to find out if withholding treatment was legal, but they took my case and suddenly things started moving much faster. M&M's reputation and Atty. Lange's skill at navigating this system is the only reason I got anything at all and now have money to draw on for REAL DOCTORS when I need more treatment, not the hacks that the insurance company sent me to. I said I just wanted this over as the hoops they started making me jump through 3 months after the injury were ridiculous and figured I would get next to nothing and/or continue with a sub-par doctor, and I was fine with that. I was pleasantly surprised when I was told of the settlement amount that he had negotiated. They said a number, so he gave them a number 10× the offer and made it clear that he was prepared to walk away. Furthermore, before he haggled with the insurance lawyers, I asked him what would be reasonable and the amount he returned with was far above that. I'm more than pleased. As a do over, I would never have gone above and beyond for a company that treats their employees as disposable therefore wouldn't have been injured. Once injured, i should have called Morgan and Morgan immediately because it was my good faith that insurance (and the employer) took advantage of. My advice, don't ever get hurt at work in FL. I received a prompt call back from a case intake individual who was not an attorney. He took my information based on a list of questions furnished him by the law firm. I was promised a call from an attorney after the intake information was provided. Never got that call. Never heard from an attorney. What a shame. This action would affect thousands of consumers and of course, provide the law firm with substantial legal fees when they prevail, which they would.
