First: Marcus didn't show up for a paid consultation. I didn't get a call that Marcus's office…read moresaying he would be late. After 10 minutes, I called and was told he was running late. Then I called after waiting 25 mins, and the "secretary" (really the answering service) said he would let him know I'm waiting. After 35 mins of waiting, I hang up and get a voicemail from his paralegal telling me about the "emergency" he had and so we rescheduled. It would have been nice if someone notified me in advance. Marcus wanted 5K to do an N336 appeal. The first 2 pages are your basic info and the 3rd is the reason why you're requesting the hearing and the other 4 pages are if you need an interpreter or who prepared it, etc- This is a brief synopsis. To give you an idea, 5K (Or less) is about what some attorneys charge for doing the N400 Naturalization and this form literally takes an hour to fill out. In the end we agreed I would do the appeal and he would show up for the second interview to ensure we didn't have further issues. He said he would send me his email so I can get the paperwork over to him to get this started. He never sent his email. A couple of days later his asst send me a text asking if I was wanting to sign up with Marcus, after a brief going back and forth of what I was retaining him for, I explained he still hasn't sent me his email address, so she sends me his email address and I sent him all the docs. I never got a single email saying he even received them. A couple days go by and I reply to the text, saying I haven't heard anything from Marcus. She apologized and said he was with someone and she would let him know. A couple more days go by and still no response. So, I sent a text today saying we still haven't heard anything and tomorrow will be a week and we are moving forward without him. No reply back. This all started on 8/3 and ended on 8/12. What a waste of time given that we had only 30 days to reply to USCIS. This morning I hired an attorney and for $1400.00 he is looking over my appeal paperwork and is going to the interview with my wife. If you want an attorney who you're going to have to chase or wait on to get answers on the immigration forms you sent over to him, Marcus is your guy. He will waste a week of your time, knowing you have only 30 days within to respond to USCIS. If you want an attorney who is going to be responsive to your needs, go elsewhere. If Marcus didn't want to represent us, all he had to do was say I'm sorry, this isn't for me, rather than drag out a time sensitive immigration issue.
