The staff are wonderful; friendly, kind and helpful. A bit more expensive than the bigger stores, like a Tesco, but well worth it. Also, an impressive variety of wines, spirits, baked goods, meats. So happy to have them as my neighborhood shop!

Keanes is the one in the middle if the small main street, to say they are friendly is like saying Bambi was a bit cute, really I wanted to buy up half the shop just to continue chatting to the guy.... there's a lesson in there for businesses the world over ya know! KellysS is probably the best known butchers in the west and particularly famous for their putogue - a black pudding (blood pudding or sausage to those from the UK!). They are a friendly and helpful bunch and do a nice line in organic local veg.

This one is hard to find and has a pay car park so they are tied into the private spivs who want to fleece you of cash as if the prices in the supermarket aren't high enough already. It a funny way to value your customers - to hit them in the pocket to pay to shop. I wandered around the supermarket for a few minutes wondering why anyone would be daft enough to pay near €3 for a 1.75ml of Coca Cola when I felt nature call so I asked a staffer if there were customer toilets. I was shown where these were. I went into the gents where the toilet seat was already up - well men will be men - and I came face to face with the dirtiest toilet seat that I can recall in the 1st world. It was disgusting and my mind turned to thoughts of what else wasn't properly cleaned in the supermarket. Maybe the meat counter or the bakery counter. If this is a measure of his SuperValu valued me then I'm devalued. Funny enough the urge to go had gone. It was so disgusting I left and went elsewhere. I suggest that the management find the isle that has the bleach and the flash, buy a scrubbing brush or two and get their hands dirty for once.
