Very good, excellent prices for the high quality seafood. I love the "seafood mac" which is really…read morea lobster pasta (bow tie pasta not macaroni). The lobster and other seafood choices are seasoned with a Cajun style and the service is personable and prompt. Like so many small food businesses, looks like their reputation has suffered a little from unscrupulous third party delivery service - remember the restaurants have little control over these so I do think it's best to find the food truck and get it straight from them. I don't like all the Styrofoam and plastic involved, the Pandemic really has generated so much unrecyclable garbage. Still, please don't litter. I also want to warn you, this tasty delicious food is messy. We spilled some lobster juice somewhere in the car and have tried everything to eliminate the lingering odor to no avail. If you have to eat in a car, borrow your brother-in-law's car, or anyone else who borrowed one of your power tools and never returned it.

Ordered through EatStreet. Food came in open containers inside a used grocery plastic bag. Gross…read more Food was nothing great for the price. Update: the grocery bag wasn't their fault, probably the delivery person from EatStreet had this bright idea The ceviche was very good. Lobster mac and cheese too salty.

They didn't have the ingredients for the appetizer we wanted, so we skipped that. We ordered ribeye and pawns. The steak was tough and chewy, we sent it back. The pawns were under cooked. An employee came out and showed us a very nice steak that they offered to cook for my husband. We declined, by than we had soured on this place. Why couldn't they have cooked that one in the first place! We won't be back! A side note, a few couples came in for dinner but because they they didn't have reservations they were seated in the bar even though dining room was empty except for us.

I think we were a little surprised to find it inside a hotel, but that's what you get for casting a wide net the only looks at yelp reviews. Nonetheless, it's a nice ambiance, although very quiet and small. There's maybe a dozen tables and a small bar. It was mostly empty on a Thursday night when we were there. We personally enjoy the quietness of the setting though! If you're looking for more of an upscale ambiance, this probably isn't the place accordingly. I think the quality of the food probably punches above its ambiance weight class though. My wife ordered a steak and for the area, I'd say it was seasoned and cooked better than most. My beef bolognese was alright, but not the best Italian dish I've had in the area. We also tried the Brussel sprouts and they didn't do it for us. They were steamed with a shredded parm and I probably would have preferred a baked/balsamic rendition better. The alligator on the other hand was a dish worth coming and trying though, the sauces paired very well-my only quibble was that it seemed like their fryer oil needed to be replaced as there was a very subtle aftertaste of burnt oil. They also offer you a free desert if you're out celebrating, which was a really nice gesture in our opinion. Overall the service and food were above average. The ambiance and price left something to be desired. In general I would recommend this place to someone who maybe hasn't traveled as much but wants to get an upscale steakhouse feel in the Janesville area. If you only have one night in the Stateline area I'd personally direct you someplace else to try to blow your socks off.
