And interestingly the Academy is sponsored by Tarmac, the Mercers Company, Thomas Telford School, HSBC Education Trust and West Bromwich Albion Football Club. Students have state of the art facilities and having seen the facilities myself, they are pretty impressive. Sandwell Academy also has a Sixth Form and the aim of the Academy is to maximise student performance in all its forms. A lot of emphasis is placed on Sport, Business and ICT however the Academy do offer a broad curriculum. I wish I had state of the art facilities when I was at Sixth Form and High School. From top to bottom I am impressed with the Academy. I did have friends who went to the Academy and they themselves were full of praise for Sandwell Academy.

This is one of…read morethe best state schools in Birmingham, with many well established teachers which is a luxury you don't often get so many of in one school. They offer brilliant facilites for both pupils and people within the community. As it is a sports college, it has brilliant sports facilities including a gym, an astro turf football pitch and more than one large sports hall. The sixthform offered here is fantastic, and a new dedicated sixthform building was built recently and adds to the schools dedication to its pupils. Having spent 7 years here, I think I can pretty much say it is a superb school and deserves all credit given to it. Both staff and pupils have worked hard over the years to keep a good reputation for the school and are continuing to do so.
