They were asked to redo the arrangement and instead of replacing the order they stated that they would not. Excuse me but in customer service you are here to serve the customer and if you can't oblige the customer than all efforts should be exhausted to ensure that the customer is satisfied. It's safe to say I am not satisfied and I would warn anyone who who orders from them to go somewhere else.

First, the wrong color on one item was shipped. Next - The supposed non touch areas on the sides, and on the sides of the cushions were not leather, rather were vinyl. On both pieces of furniture the viny cracked and cracked and peeled. No direct sunlight hits the furniture. Shades are drawn. The leather is fine, but the faux leather (vinyl) is a real issue with the cracking. Not coverend under warranty, even though the cracking started at about a year of owning the furniture. Couches were comfortable initially, now the peeling vinyl cuts and scratches your legs if you wear shorts. It is just my wife and me, my kids are grown and gone with their own families, not living nearby. The sofa's seat on left side - underlying frame is made from wood with dowels in corners, broke. Although under warranty, Southern Motion said it was not covered as it was abused. Someone jumped on it was the claim. We are in early 70's, we do no jumping or have wild sex on the sofa. No kids on the sofa. Yet it broke, and Southern Motion refused warranty coverage on this too.. Our retailer has been absolutely great, working with us, repairing th sofa with parts I had them buy via Southern Motion. I could not ask more of them. It is the Southern Motion product that is the problem. All I can say is a big Caveat Emptor. I will never buy ANYTHING from or made by Southern Motion again. They started cracking and peeling all over the place and look horrible. Of course it is out of warranty. I called two different leather repair companies only to be told that my furniture was not real leather but had a vinyl coating. While real leather can be restored the vinyl can not be repaired. I spent good money to have good quality furniture that would last....now I've hot furniture that looks terrible and can't be repaired. This was an expensive lesson.....hope my experience can spare others from being taken by SoutherMotion

If you're out shopping for furniture and someone tries to sell you anything made by Southern…read moreMotion, RUN AWAY SCREAMING! Or consider yourself forewarned. I'm not going to rehash and dog on the local furniture company I bought mine from because I already have. They were somewhat victims as well since they didn't actually make the furniture, but guilty by association for selling it. In all fairness, they actually attempted to make it right despite Southern Motion's best shot to ruin a $10,000 dollar purchase. The sofa, loveseat and chair were all upholstered in semi-aniline, top grain leather. I also purchased the 5-year combo policy for an additional $600 plus a little extra for the White Glove Delivery Service. The delivery guys were exceptionally professional, arrived on time and when setting up the furniture, we noticed a few of the (turns out to be nine) manufacture defect concerns, which they took pictures of and said they would show their boss. That night I decided to apply a coat of Leather Honey Conditioner and protectant to all three pieces, and when you do that process, you'll be examining every inch of the furniture. While doing that, I found several more manufacturers' defects, took pictures and sent them to the local retailer. I later received a call from the retailer's representative who was very professional and came to the house to evaluate the defects which were many, as mentioned. I never received a call from anyone at Southern Motion, apparently, they didn't to want to discuss their epic, quality control failures, and/or simply didn't care which seems to be the impression I get from reading many of the other reviews. September 11th, 2025, approximately 4 weeks later and after I had reached out several times attempting to get some resolution, I was offered 3 options: 1. Send all the pieces back and have them fixed. (I had already sold the furniture I was replacing, so I guess we could sit on milk crates for another 6 weeks or so.) 2. Send the defective pieces back a few at a time (lol, can you even imagine doing that?) and 3. A partial refund. Sadly enough, the partial refund seemed to be the only feasible alternative in lieu of professional grade work and customer service. What a disappointing experience with the Southern Motion defect extravaganza that you'll hide from your family and friends instead of showing off what your ten-grand furniture investment just bought. As far as I'm concerned, Southern Motion furniture is a sub-par company, and, as I've read and have personally experienced, are proud to build you furniture with built-in conversation defects at no additional cost. (Bonus!) Reading so many other painful Southern Motion reviews, plus, now, crossing this underwhelming experience off my bucket list, it just might be a good idea when out driving around looking for furniture, to keep an eye out for Southern Motion's trash masquerading as over-priced furniture. Take a minute to soak in what the retailer's manager referred to these as "minor issues." (SMH.)

Southern Motion has the worst customer service we have ever experienced!!! We bought a single…read morerecliner and a dual reclining loveseat from Style House furniture in Atascadero, ca 8/25/2017. The single recliner was delivered with broken mechanisms and broken electronics. We sent the chair back to the store we bought it from with the promise of repair, It is now 3 months later and the Factory of Southern Motion in Mississippi has not sent the parts for repair yet!!! Southern Motion should be ashamed. My husband has had cancer and needed the chair for after his surgery. I recommend you NEVER buy from Southern Motion!!!
