This place is a joke. Do not take anything to these people. They will rip you off!!! I dropped my truck off for some fluid services and a couple other things to check out. They quoted me $1200 to do my front and rear differential, and my transmission fluid!!!!!!!!!! All the while they held onto my truck for 4 weeks!!!!!!!! Come to find out, after week 4, I had enough and went in and found out they haven't even touched it!!!! I payed zero dollars and had a month of my life wasted and they just act like it's no big deal. I have had no good experience with these guys. I had my car delivered to them, and went over the items like my throttle sticking, ( SEE PICTURES) and battery draining when not running for days. And gave them a new top to replace the existing, they did not fit it properly either. This was after I called and asked if they work on MG's , they said yes bring your car over. Don't trust them! They charged me $600 to tell me that my vehicle had a dropped valve and needed a new engine, then quoted me another $11,000+ for the engine and install. I declined and brought the truck home to have a mechanic friend take a look at it. It had a broken rocker and lifter but the valve had not dropped and was in good shape. Don't think I have enough good things to say about the staff at Moore Miles. After a car accident had done quite a number to my Cavalier, I took it to three different mechanics off of Craigslist to get it worked on. You can probably guess how that ended; moral of the story, don't try to cut corners to save money; just take your car to a professional. After calling in and finding out that diagnostic costs would be deducted from repairs if I had my car worked on here, I took my car in for repair. I had regular communication from the mechanic regarding what was going on with the vehicle and the fixes he had made. He was up front on all pricing and never charged me for something I didn't need, even if he had previously thought I was going to need something done and I already had agreed to the expenses. I know very little about cars, so his honesty was refreshing and his work was excellent. I now have my car back and have someone I can trust with all my vehicle repairs. Long story short, don't try to cut corners on Craigslist; you will more than likely be screwed over and spend more money than you would have if you had just taken your car in to a pro. I had a slow leak on a tire and due to the close proximity I chose to take it to Moore's Shop (big mistake in hindsight) to have them leak check/repair the tire. I was able to leave it with them for the day so I won't rip them about the time it took for this process to play out. Once they finally looked at the tire, took about 3 hours to get to it, they contacted me and told me they couldn't patch the tire but they had graciously priced me two tires, for $680!! After getting my jaw off the floor and allowing my blood to stop boiling I told them no thanks just ait it back up and I'll be there directly to get it. When I got there to pick it up they presented me a bill for $112.35! Due to the fact they had my keys I couldn't refuse the bill so I paid the ridiculously outrageous bill and left. I later priced 2 tires, mounted, balanced, and purchased them for $320. I wouldn't recommend Moore's gouging service for any tire issues! I could literally put 4 tires on for less than what they tried to sell me 2 for. My visit to Moore's resulted in a tire filled with air for a mere $112!! That's right $112 to not repair the tire and fill it back up with air!! What a deal-extreme sarcasm here!! Stay away from Moore's. read more

My car was making a funny whistling sound for a few days and I wasn't able to get it looked at until today. Every shop I reached out to kept giving me the run around until I spoke with Dustin at Moore Miles. At first they weren't able to get me in until Monday, then after explaining the situation he found a way to fit me in today. They were able to diagnose my car on the spot, realized the brakes were bad and got it resolved in less than 2 hours for an incredibly reasonable price. He was even willing to show me exactly what they were talking about, which makes me feel a lot better knowing they aren't trying to pull a fast one. For now on this will be the place I take my car and my husbands to get them looked at for any issues. Absolutely recommend these folks. Jimmy was great. My truck needed a break job, was honest with me that the work couldn't be completed that day. I couldn't go an evening without it, so we scheduled for the next day and he completed the work as promised in one day. I was expecting to replace rotors, but he was able to safely turn the ones I had, saving me $$'s. I'm fairly new to the area so really didn't know where to take my vehicle. These guys do quality work but the thing I liked the best was they are ethical. They offer a 2 year 24,000 mile warranty on their work for peace of mind. My quote for repairs was over $700 and when I went to pay it only cost $530. Unlike most they don't charge you for work you don't need! If I wanted a clueless, make things worse than they were before, wanna-be mechanic, I would definitely go to this shop. They charged me full blown retail pricing for parts and labor on a simple clutch installation in a manual transmission. They contacted me to let me know the vehicle is "ready to pickup". Went there to pay them and get the vehicle only to find out that in the process of them doing their "work", they shorted out a $500 fuel injection computer which they blatantly denied. I had to buy a replacement which put me behind over $500 on this experience before I even could drive the truck off their property. After only 3000 miles, I could feel serious problems coming with the clutch in my vehicle, so I returned the truck to moore miles. The owner called me a few days later to let me know the clutch had malfunctioned and broke.... said it was a warranty issue. A week later, he finally contacts me again to let me know it's not a warranty issue and I would need to pay for a complete new clutch with full labor charges in order to get the vehicle running properly again. The old saying "fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on ME" came to mind, so I told them to just leave the transmission disassembled and I would have the vehicle towed away. For this, they charged me almost $300. The next shop I dealt with quickly identified the issue. Moore miles had installed the incorrect clutch in my vehicle. At the cost of over $1500 and months of being without my vehicle, I finally had a knowledgeable mechanic install the CORRECT clutch and I've been driving the vehicle without issue ever since. To top everything off, moore miles had "forgotten" to put my driveshaft in the vehicle and refused to take it to the shop where the vehicle was ACTUALLY BEING REPAIRED! I had to arrange transport of that which drove just one more nail in the wound that I suffered from dealing with such worthless, idiotic people. You've been warned... it's not easy to find a good mechanic sometimes, but you should know that this is not a reputable or knowledgeable shop. They will break things and refuse to own up to it. They will "mis-place" things and refuse to do anything about it. read more
