At one of our first meetings John Zoller said that he was for our whole family his interest was not in his client alone but also our children and me.
Unfortunately, that was not the case at all. In less than a year my husband spent ridiculous amounts of dollars with barely a slap on the hand from John Zoller. We were supposed to bring to the table any extraordinary expenses.
His Porsche, built in pool/hot tub, landscaping, concrete, etc. the list goes on. As John said everything was supposed to stay the same, my husband first cut his pay then completely stopped giving any financial aid to the boys and me. I was told upfront that this process would not work if one of the parties lacked empathy/was not willing to work together. Yes, I took a long shot and tried because I wanted to do the right thing for our family, our boys esp.
My initial lawyer warned me, and I am thankful that in their wisdom and doing this for so many years they were able to see the dangers and truly understand personalities. Sadly, I do not feel that John Zoller is qualified to be a collaborative lawyer and I am not sure if he is able to handle his difficult clients and stand up for what is best for the family as a whole. Quite frankly in our case his actions showed he did not care about our family at all.
If the process isn't working and lawyers have done this for years, they should stand up and say pull the plug. Hey, it's been SIXTEEN months this isn't going to work. He is completely for his client and cares nothing about the family unit. Funny, he heads up some of the "Family Law software" not once did he mention that to me/the team in completing that program to help move forward. It was not until my new collaborative lawyer stepped aboard our sinking ship that I was informed about the software, 9 MONTHS into the process! Interesting. My husband cancelled meetings and John did not reach out to reschedule. My lawyer had to consistently try to schedule meetings which proved difficult on their side to get on the calendar. On top of these FEW items that I am mentioning, I feel that John Zoller is against woman, esp. stay at home moms. John clearly felt my husband deserved far more than I did because I was home with the children. The last few zoom calls we had he spoke to me in a condescending and patronizing tone. Even though I worked for our company since high school summers and though I was at home raising our children, I was still working for our companies! His emails to me were often assuming, blaming and accusatory for things I was not even doing. It seems to me he over empathized with my husband and was not seeing the truth.
I feel John acts nice up front, however, he lacks wisdom, insight, empathy and is not able to stand up for what is right. Even obviously right in front of his face. Unfortunately, I would not recommend him to anyone ever and due to the terrible unprofessionalism, he brings to the table I would not use Zoller/Biacsi Co LPA at all. We spent roughly 100,000 in 16 months on the collaborative process and now we get to start over in court.
For whoever might read this, I am not one to post negative reviews. Actually, this is my first one. I felt as if I did not review someone else could end up in my situation and it is not ok. I prefer to encourage others and thank those that help us. Truly hope this helps deter someone from using John Zoller and this firm. Be wary.
