Shop looked lovely & I saw something I wanted to buy right away... however, the chap didn't want us in the shop (got the impression he thought we couldn't afford anything). The shop door is locked, likely to keep the 'riff raff' out, was ignored on the first call of the bell but on the second bell he came to the door & rather snootily told me that he is fully booked with 'other customers who had booked a slot'.... Well the shop sign said only Monday & Tuesdays were by appointment and the rest of the week was open 10-5pm including today which happens to be a Friday! He said he was too busy booked up, then returned to the chair he had been sat on for the 20 mins he ignored us, there was quite literally nothing but furniture and the air surrounding him so I'm unsure if he is a spiritual medium as the shop was empty with no customer insight. Never mind I then went to The Antiques Shop Chester which was a completely different experience, the chap there had the best customer service, spent over £200 and left with the most gorgeous pieces, overall I'm glad I spent my hard earned money in the right place & to the right person. read more
