Her location is ideal for raising the dogs. She was welcoming from the first call through the process. The knowledge she shared throughout was refreshing and beyond helpful. Her home was beautiful and she was open to us coming which made us feel better knowing exactly where our new baby was coming from. The items prepared for our arrival to pick up Leia (our pup) were kind, thoughtful, and so helpful. I can't say enough good things about this entire experience. I wanted an older puppy thinking it would be easier as i am in my late 60s. He had a severe giardia infestation causing severe diarrhea. Bloody, mucous, liquid mess. His coat was extremely dry and itchy due to malnutrition from the infection. He also had an eye infection, and a bladder infection. As well he was approx 1 lb underweight, at under 5 lbs. I contacted Kimberly and her response was that they "used to send the meds home for giardia with the puppies but the state of Colorado doesn't let them anymore. She should have told me she had a giardia problem in her puppies. 6 weeks later, cleaning diarrhea and urine 15-20 times a day,up thru the night 4-6 times for the first month, and over 400$ in vet bills , this little guy is on his 4 th medication to heal his gut and bladder and has another 2 weeks of meds to go. He has gained 3 lbs in 5 weeks. For a dog that will max out at approximately 12 lbs that is another marker of how poorly looked after he was and the problems with this situation. They are apparently socialized and exposed to things like a vacuum cleaner etc. He is terrified of the vacuum, among other things. This is not a caring "breeder" in my opinion. She has approx 10-15 pairs of dogs (2breeds) and at any given time up to 40-70 puppies. Just look at the website to see this. I love this little guy, and wouldn't give him up for anything. We both have suffered thru this, especially him being so ill for so long. It ticks me off that the care given to these little creatures is so poor. The prices they charge should be used to take care of these puppies. Enough said.
