    Food is fantastic!!!
    Christian R.

A Hidden Gem in the Mountains! Moons Korean Kitchen is hands-down one of the best surprises tucked away in Kyburz! The food is bursting with flavor -- authentic, comforting, and clearly made with love. We had the bulgogi and kimchi fried rice, and every bite was incredible. Portions were generous, and everything came out hot and fresh. The owners are so kind and welcoming -- you truly feel like you're being served a home-cooked meal by family. It's rare to find a spot that feels this personal and delicious in such a remote location. Whether you're passing through or planning a trip to the area, make sure to stop here. It's worth the drive. Don't miss it!

Kimchi Fried Rice - by far the best I ever had 5stars

Price was a bit much but the flavors can't beat. The kimchi fried rice was bomb totally recommended

Every time I drive through 50 I always noticed this little joint and today we decided to try since we were already fueling up next door and let me tell you!!! I don't know why I never stopped here before sooner , that rice was so fireee and by that I mean it was delicious one of the best fried rice I ever had , the mild spicy definitely has a kick and every bite you take you'll taste few different things! I recommend it!

I'm angry. I'm so angry. It's been a few days since I came here. I hadn't had a meal at all that day on my long drive including stops due to exceedingly long lines or just being forgotten about and then I got here. And honestly I cannot blame the hunger for why this is the best Korean food I have ever had--including all the Ktown restaurants in LA It's not much to look at outside, not fancy, easy to pass (unless you're starving, have to pee, and love Asian food) and wow I'm glad I stopped. I ordered the pork bulgogi and I stopped breathing for a moment when I took my first bite of kimchi...hard to find a truly perfect kimchi. This was the best kimchi I ever have had. I had to decline more because I already knew I was going to need a box. The pork bulgogi I did spice level two and it was just spicy enough for me. Why am I angry after a fantastic (and peaceful with the calm music and it being empty while I was then) meal? Because I live 7 hours away. 7 hours. If I ever go back to Tahoe, I'll be back without a doubt.

Absolutely delicious Korean food in this surprising hole in the wall. The chef was so busy handling everything by himself and there was a bit of a wait but it was worth it. Very casual dining vibe, comfortable and nice after a long day of driving.

Egg drop soup DELICIOUS! Flavor transcends the dish.

I've had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant now several times and I've had the pleasure of talking to the owner Mr. Moon himself. Given his small space this man makes his restaurant a very welcoming space and the flavor profiles he can achieve using the most basic of ingredients is nothing short of cooking excellence and passion for the craft! I Highly recommend you stop by if your ever in Silverfork CA on your way to Tahoe that you stop and eat here Mr. Moon won't disappoint. Keep on rocking Mr. Moon you have my support!

We really enjoyed coming here from Lake Tahoe. It's a bit of a drive from Lake Tahoe but the small no frills all taste was definitely worth it. The restaurant has been running for three months and Mr. Moon is a one man show! From speaking to him, he has over 20 years of experience in the restaurant business and he finally made his dream of owning a restaurant a reality. I'm really rooting for him to succeed with this restaurant because he's one of the good guys. Why? The previous restaurant had a no bathroom unless you're a customer policy but Moon has changed that. His reasoning is they are travel quite far to get to Tahoe and people need to go. He also takes care of the neighborhood cats when the owner is out of town. Just a good dude who can cook a mean Korean dish. You have to root for that. We will visit here every time we visit Tahoe. Hopefully his restaurant will gain a lot of traction!

So it's Valentines night around 630p and I had settled in on the couch thinking my evening was…read moreset, when my 24 year old daughter who was visiting for the weekend from out of town comes into the living room and was like "So where are we going for dinner tonight?"I literally did LOL and was like "Nowhere-not on Valentine's Day on a Saturday night with no reservations".She did not accept that as an acceptable answer and she jumped on her phone and after calling place after place she found a spot that had a wait under 30 minutes, though it was pretty far from Natomas and it's a place I have zero and I do mean zero experience with-but what are you going to do-When the wife and the daughter want to go to dinner on Valentines Day,I guess you get off the couch and head on out-we headed out to Modurang Korean Restaurant on Folsom Blvd. Parking at this location is kinda tricky in front of the restaurant as the spots seem very close and people seemed to be parking recklessly but luckily it's quite a large lot with many spaces in front of some of the other shops in this multi tenant shopping area. Once we got to the restaurant we noticed a few people waiting in the lobby ahead of us but considering what night it was,I was fine with it.We ended up waiting about 20 minutes before we got our table. I will admit fully I have zero expertise at Korean restaurant, outside of occasional visits to a BBQ spot but at traditional sit down Korean restaurant,I was out of my element.Luckily for me,the daughter has spent multiple weeks in Korea thru her military service,so I felt like I was in good hands-I let her have total control of what we were eating that night, that wasnt easy for me to do. We ended up going with Fried Chicken in spicy sauce($22.95)-Seafood Fried Rice($18.95)-Soft Tofu Stew($17.95)-Hot Stone Beef Bibimbab($19.95),which along with the courtesy banchan was so much food-but I'd never been to this restaurant-I wanted to try some things. To drink we ended up going with some Blackberry wine($14.95) and my daughter went with a Milkis($1.95) drink-I just went with water but I did have my eye on some Soju, but decided against it since I wasn't sure what I was up against "food-wise". Once the food arrived which was lightning quick-I was in heaven, the 11 small dish banchan along with our dishes,I can't tell you which was best because everything I tasted was on point and kept getting better and better. My bibimbap was so fun to eat-I enjoyed the act of mixing it all up before trying it-was so tasty. The tofu stew came out piping hot and the flavor profile was like nothing I've had before-it was super enjoyable. If I had to say though, the star of the meal was that fried chicken in spicy sauce-holy smokes-large pieces of chicken drowning in the spicy sauce,it was a flavor overload that I couldnt get enough of-I loved them-I think I ate 80% of them-sorry wife and daughter-I couldnt help myself, they were awesome,I'd always heard how good Korean chicken was but now I can vouch for it-it's really really great-do yourself a favor and get this dish-it's awesome. In closing,if you ever find yourself in the mood to try a traditional Korean restaurant in the Sacramento area,I would without a doubt recommend Modurang Korean restaurant-it was a pretty amazing place and I'm glad I tried it-hope you feel the same way if u try it one day. PS-forgot to mention that Blackberry wine was delicious-another surprise of the night-very enjoyable.

Greeted by the staff and handed menus. I have been here so many times and I love this place. It is in a small strip mall with some parking that is kind of tight. We found parking , fine. We got the seafood tofu soup, white meaning no spice. It was packed with seafood and we like it a lot. I wanted the fried flounder but they came out and said they were out of it. crap. they suggested the mackerel but that is the salty one but the wife said to try it but it was salty , She didn't like it much. The bones are big so easy to get rid of them. It was just ok. I think we won't order this again. Not as good as the flounder. We got the Galbi but it was really fatty tonight. Good flavor but less meat. Also got the fried chicken which is always yummy. Comes out really hot. It's funny that the server thought we ordered a lot but ate most of it . She don't know me hahaha. The food came out really quick since we were the only ones there. Felt like I booked the places just for us.

You know that feeling when a craving hits? That was my experience tonight at Doma…read more I came in with a serious hankering for K-food, and Doma hit every single mark. We started with the deep-fried mandu - 12 perfectly crispy pieces for $13.99 - hot, golden, and incredibly satisfying. They also brought out a generous spread of banchan, all fresh and well-balanced. For the main, I ordered the chicken teriyaki and tofu soup combo ($24.99), which comes with sliced chicken marinated in a savory-sweet teriyaki sauce and a bubbling hot tofu soup. Adding the complimentary raw egg ourselves into the boiling soup was pure magic - rich, comforting, and exactly what you want on a chilly night. Everything came out piping hot and perfectly timed. The restaurant itself is small, clean, and well-kept, and the team was quick, attentive, and always on top of table touches. Even as it got busy, the service never missed a beat. I feel incredibly lucky to live near so many great Korean spots - and even luckier to count Doma as one of my go-to favorites. High marks across the board and absolutely no complaints.

They checked in frequently to make sure we had everything we needed, from water refills to extra side dishes. The food was the highlight of the night. I'm a big fan of kimchi jjigae, and theirs was particularly delicious. They generously portioned out the protein and kimchi, and the broth was rich in flavor. My partner tried their ddukguk for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion. It was much larger than the soups we usually find elsewhere. We also loved the kimchi pancake, which was crispy and packed with flavor, and the bossam. It was also my partner's first time having bossam, and he really enjoyed being able to customize each bite with the various toppings provided by the restaurant. Considering the generous portions and the high quality of their dishes, we found the pricing to be fair. However, it can be a bit pricey as most of their foods are portioned and priced to accommodate bigger parties, but it is definitely worth it for the experience of an authentic and fulfilling meal!
