Last night while I was alone at home, there was a slight scent of cotton candy and I did not understand why it was here. I got quiet and received a message to just reach out to my client as I have not heard from him for awhile. So I reached out to him and found out that they just went to the ER with a family member. While this was going on many insights came in and thank you Uma for helping me to understand them. Late, Unprofessional, and Blaming the Customer…read more I booked two one-hour sessions--one for me at 9:15 am and one for my daughter at 10:15 am. Uma, the owner, confirmed this in writing in an email (see attached). My daughter and I showed up early (8:50 am). At 9:12 am we walked to the building and the doors were locked. I forwarded Uma her own email and asked if we needed to reschedule. No response, and the door to the business was still locked at 9:15, our scheduled time. My daughter and I waited for 10 minutes. A car pulled in around 9:28 with a man and a woman inside, but I had no idea who they were. The woman went in while the man carried a bag for her, but I've never seen Uma, so I do not know if that was her. So we left. She called me at 9:33--after our session was supposed to start--asking if I was still coming. She claimed she had 9:30 in her calendar, as if that overrides what she sent me in writing. What bothered me most was not the mix-up but the unprofessional way she handled it. Her email after the fact was passive-aggressive, no real apology, and telling me not to book with her again. I didn't get the service I paid for because she was not on time, and somehow, she still tried to make it my fault for not waiting around even longer. She also had the nerve to tell me never to book with her again. I would've gladly rescheduled. Instead, I got attitude and was blamed for not accommodating her unprofessional behavior. This was to begin when I returned from travel on June 12th. She could not see me until June 14th. However, during my subsequent meeting on June 14th - Mrs. White Sr. began another complimentary session and Mrs. White Jr left. The originally agreed-upon amount was renegotiated to a higher amount, an additional $800 to "rent a crystal." She reiterated that her session was complimentary and that I could walk away if I didn't trust or believe her. Our session Mrs. White Sr. worked to get me into an alarmed and distressed state - being told I had a demonic attachment. She got me to sob my eyes out for an hour and then coerced me into renegotiating my agreed upon amount and that it did not cover what was needed and that it had to be resolved immediately. This experience left me extremely frightened, paranoid, and anxious. That following Tuesday I had therapy and my therapist had to diagnose that I had entered into a religious psychosis and that what occurred was a scam. I have requested a refund for the prepaid sessions and program, as I no longer wish to begin a program with any meditations, cleansings, or sessions. They have stopped responding. I have filed a complaint with BBB as well.
