It's a true blues dive bar with character, great people, and some of the best live music in Baton Rouge. They have live bands most nights of the week, and whether you're there to listen, dance, or just enjoy the vibe, there's always something happening. Most of the bartenders are incredibly friendly, and the regulars make everyone feel welcome. It's the kind of place where strangers quickly become friends. The free pool tables are another big plus, making it a great spot to relax and have fun. Right when we arrived, a band called Night Hog start to perform. They were really good! They played on the first floor stage, and we sat at the seating right across from them. There was a dance floor in between us, but no one was dancing. We sat here for quite some time while we waited to bowl, so we kept going to the other side of the first floor to get drinks from the bar. Bar service was great! I never waited for a drink, and the bartenders gave good recommendations. Typical bar with plenty of cocktails and beers. When it was our turn to bowl, we went up to the 5th floor and got our lane. It is $25 an hour per lane, which I think is an amazing deal. At the lane, there are places to sit, tvs, tons of bowling balls and four total lanes. For bowling you were able to choose different games after you finished your round. I really like how they didn't make you change your shoes.. you could bowl in heels if you wanted. Show rental is free! This was an old warehouse converters into an event venue... just so cool. I love the atmosphere and how they pay attention to a wide variety of scenes from Emo and Goth Nights to Disco and Fairy Raves. The staff is always nice and the service runs smooth every time. The bar seems to provide drinks quickly throughout the night. I've never had a bad experience at Chelsea's even when I lost my phone and I will continue to attend concerts and shows there. I've brought all my friends and they've all had a great time as well. Definitely in my go to places for a fun night out alone or with friends!

Waze tends to send to through some areas I don't want to drive solo through, so I usually detour. Parking can be slightly sketch at night, and be aware if you're in heels, you may have to park in gravel/large rocks under the interstate. You are parking at your own risk, so don't leave valuables out. Staff is always there to greet you with a smile. I've never encountered any employee there who didn't seem to be in a pretty good mood. The floor space is large with lots of standing room. Depending on the event, they'll throw some high top tables around. There are two bars, each pretty big, and the bartenders are very attentive, looking around for the next person to serve (which is good because I am short and can get lost under some people). The drinks are a bit pricey, but the liquor is pretty good with a variety. The private events I have attended were well run and staff members were very helpful for those who rented it. The public events are also very well done. Chelsea's Live brings in some pretty big names, so keep your eye out for future events. They also highlight local artists. The stage is high enough to where you can see who's on it no matter where you are in the place.
