I'm a fan of their Bloomsbury location but decided to try this one out as it's technically closer to my neighbourhood. There is a lot more space at this location and a bit more places to sit. But when you go to the counter to order/pay it can get very crowded, one little girl was practically leaning against me to try and read the menu. I tried their new "wavetea" in Honey Oolong. I'm still not sure how exactly it's different from their regular flavours but wow the taste was amazing! The oolong was prevalent but smoothed out and sweetened with the honey. And not too sweet either. Both ingredients were balanced and neither overpowered the other. Kind of reminded me of barley tea without the weird grainy aftertaste. I hope this becomes a permanent menu item because it's seriously delicious! I could see this being popular all year round. I also ordered the Mooboo Jasmine for my boyfriend with pearls. Also perfectly balanced and sweet, plus the Jasmine flavour was really nice and floral the drink wasn't bitter at all. I had him try Mooboo with me before and this jasmine milk tea cemented his preference for Mooboo over most of the other bubble tea places in London. One side note is I'm not sure you can customise your sugar or ice levels like you can with Chatime. After trying four different drinks here I think the standard sugar level they use is perfect but sometimes I think there is a bit too much ice. I can imagine this location would be quite popular being close to Camden Town. I'm torn over which location is better but one thing is certain, Mooboo definitely do bubble tea right.

Review Highlights - Mooboo - Bubble Tea

I had the original Mooboo bubble tea with tapioca balls but I can't wait until my next venture out to Camden to try all the other flavours!

Super fast drinks! Order on digital menu and out comes the drink. Boba was soft and sweet. Great…read morespot to get a drink while enjoying sights of London Eye and Big Ben.

I never really got into the whole boba hype when I was growing up. Still, the prospect of boba on the other side of the Atlantic piqued my interest when I was in the neighborhood... First things first: you'll definitely feel the dollar-to-pound conversion when you peruse the menu. While I am no stranger to paying extra for some of the fancier toppings (like jellies), I was a little disappointed to see that even the boba tapioca balls cost an extra £0.50. (Maybe this is normal outside of the States, where the drink is known as "milk tea" instead of "boba"? Because otherwise I find it hard to believe that boba can be sold without, well, the boba...) I went with the Assam black milk tea because I find that choosing the most basic of milk teas is the best way to evaluate a boba spot. It wasn't as sweet as the basic black milk teas that I usually can find in the U.S. (understandable, as most drinks in the U.S. are probably sugarier). The boba was fresh (to be expected, as I had pay extra for it...) At the end of the day, I had paid £4.50 for the regular size of some pretty average tasting boba. The shop itself is pretty tiny, though the seating is pretty hip-looking.
