Abbey is phenomenal! She helped me through the darkest days of my life. "Thank you" does not seem sufficient.

Before birth: Talking with the two main ladies who seemed to know what they were talking about were helpful and easy to talk with. The others were so so, standoffish and seemed to be guessing, overall friendly for the most part. Birth: they missed it. After multiple calls, it seemed as if they did not believe us. Call back when this or that and don't go in the pool yet for the water birth. By the time the young lady was en route, my wife gave birth to our baby boy on our bed with me helping. After birth: When she did get to the house, I felt I was more confident than she was about what needed to happen next. (My only experience was our first baby, some friends having babies, and livestock.) She cut the cord and pushed on my wife's belly to be sure everything was out (definitely do not think everything was out) Wife was pale, dizzy and light headed I suggested she stay till she felt better like the first one. Instead of moving, then. She helped clean a little, but we had things set up, so we had it taken care of. More placenta came out after she left, along with big blood clots. She had big blood clots for years after. also had like second bleeding after periods for years after. No pleasure down there since. Not sure what, how or why the last four things happened when everything was "cleared out and good" but after the birth talking to them on post birth meetings was everything is good and all is normal. For the post partum depression stuff that lasted two years, they just recommended some app (i don't recall the name at this current time... BILLING: Another issue, we were told one price, but as this whole experience went on, we were getting charged more for things we already took care of... Then we moved. Before we moved, my wife talked to them and was told we are all good and up to date and paid up (no bills). My wife usually gets the notice of bills if not paid for up front. Now, FOUR YEARS LATER (4), I am getting emails about a bill to my email. Their contact this entire time is my wife until recently. Many phone calls and voice mails, no response. Finally get a hold of someone a month later (me calling) and apparently they updated their system and there was a bill that they supposedly never gave us that I need to pay after we where cleared before we moved states. Would pay if we could see the evidence and they removed their bs service fee (service is not to good if there is billing discrepancies while we where there and now 4 years later)Talked to the Lab Corp people also said we where all paid up. They said they paid, so we looked into that with the invoice number date and account number given off of their receipt from Lab Corp records, and also no match.

The…read morelactation nurse she worked with after she went home really went above and beyond and tried everything to get my daughter to start producing. Unfortunately after the colostrum, her milk supply peaked at 2 ounces and then went down from there. There's a few reasons why this happened but it wasn't for lack of trying or the expert help at the Lactation Center Boutique. Also shout out to the momma's who donate their milk to the milk bank. That got them through while she was still trying to get her supply to increase. After a rough couple of weeks and baby losing too much weight they all agreed, switching to formula would be best for her and their little guy. PSA: Ladies, if you see mom's out there using formula? Don't look down your nose at them. You don't know why or what their story is. My daughter was devastated and so upset that she couldn't produce enough, which was part of why she wasn't producing. The stress she felt certainly did not help. She had a rough end to her pregnancy and a traumatic birth. That, combined with the stress of what society expects from new mommas, is why they feel she didn't produce. Some women don't want to breastfeed, some need to take medications that aren't safe for baby, some don't produce. My advice? Be kind to one another and mind your own business if you can't.

After weeks and weeks of serious nipple pain, I felt like I had to talk to someone and see if I was doing something wrong. I had a home birth and was a little afraid that I would be judged somehow at this lactation center in a hospital. I am really happy to report this wasn't the case. Every call I made was answered by someone extremely helpful, even willing to give advice over the phone. When I came in to meet with a lactation consultant ($25) I did not feel rushed; the proper time and care was given to review my concerns and try to determine solutions. I felt cared for. They also have many products so that you don't have to go somewhere to try to solve your problems: nipple shields, breast shields, gel pads, breast pump accessories, nursing covers, etc., When I came back in to buy accessories for the breast pumps offered at my work, the woman at the center took the time to show me how to use them on the actual breast pump. I know when I had my baby I felt so stressed about breastfeeding and if I was doing things right. I didn't know where to go. Now I do, and that is great peace of mind.

The billing department is also a joke! I am Self-Pay and pay the initial fee up front. My daughter was seen in April 2024 and I am still being billed 1-off charges for this appointment. I just called to make a wellness appointment and was told I needed a separate appointment to get a prescription refill (due to insurance) - I DO NOT HAVE INSURANCE!!! Not sure when OPTUM took over - seems like things fell apart with that transition. I then called a friend-referred doctor to make an appointment and the front office said they had never heard of such a thing!!! I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!!

Both the front desk and some of the physicians. If you are sick with more than one thing they will refuse to answer your questions and make you set multiple appointments. Also, plan on being lectured by a very rude collection of staff for not checking in on time if you are 15, not 20, minutes early because you stood in line for 10 minutes. Additionally, be ready to be told you should frequently check if your insurance has renewed their contract with Optum....not sure how they got this mindset, but apparently Optum thinks you should continuously monitor their inability to make deals with top 3 insurance providers. Also to top it all off, our child who actually measures just at or below average on all measurements was directly fat shamed by the doctor. Not sure why a kindergartner should be lectured about being fat...when they are in the 55th percentile... and the 50th for height...? Take your kids somewhere where they will be treated with a level of decency.

We were checked in immediately and seated waiting to be called to the back. Mandi B. Was nurse for today. She came and got us and bought us back. She was very polite, friendly and funny. I love when nurses have a good attitude and laid back. I need to run to the restroom before we checked my vitals so we could get an accurate reading. Well that just sent me over the top. There's only one in the back and it was nasty. I just couldn't believe it. Someone went in there and pooped. Left the toilet full of it and "DIDN'T FLUSH THE TOILET"!!! Now my issue with this was there were 2 nurses posted up by the door and I know they smelled it... so the fact that they didn't flush it.. I heard them talking about it but didn't know they were talking about that restroom until I walked in. I had every opportunity to name drop the nurses (male and female) but my hubby asked me not too..:/ This is why I prefer early Saturday mornings around 7:45am.. I like to eat but what I was served was way below par. I asked for tortilla soup and got rice and beans that was extremely salty. Odd for a food to serve in a hospital. The chicken taco salad was so dry. Dry chicken, dry cheese, and dry lettuce. No salsa and no dressing. A frozen cupcake. I could only eat the icing the cake part also dry. Maybe I can have something edible delivered next time?
