Most unfriendly, frankly scary experience I've had in Monument. I went over to buy some beer and…read moreended up sitting in the parking lot for a minute to talk to my mother in law about a family matter. They close at 9 PM. At 845, in the rear view mirror, I saw a gentleman in the parking lot looking at my license plate. Mind you, there are no signs stating that the parking is for customers only or that it's illegal to park there after hours. The store was open with the lights on. I didn't realize the odd person was working for the store and it kind of scared me. He walked towards me and then walked back towards the store. When he walked toward me the second time, I locked my doors. He heard me lock my doors and then walked back into the store behind the counter. At this point I realized he worked there. He was closing the store down and I was about to end my call and go elsewhere to buy a beer. He then came back out of the store and banged on my window. At this point it was 855, before closing. Once again nothing marked the parking lot as being for customers only. He told me I needed to " get the fuck out of here." He was acting drunk. He went back into the store and pointedly started calling the police on me. I left the parking lot; but I'm totally confused and disgusted by his demeanor. I had vacated the parking lot by 859 and had only been there since 830. He was clearly on something as his behavior was erratic and threatening. I would not advise shopping here.

When we got home two cans were leaking from the top. The box looked fine from the outside. Within 20 minutes of leaving the store we went back to hopefully exchange. They would do nothing and basically shrugged their shoulders. I did nothing wrong and feel cheated. Cork 'n Bottle will be getting my business going forward. If you shop there make sure nothing is damaged because they will not care or help. But I learned my lesson with these people. They stock damaged products and hope they can get someone to be a sucker, I guess. I won't be back.

When I asked why they would not honor their online price, the owner said (short paraphrase here), "It's a special release. That price was only if I got 20 bottles or more. If you buy another $100 in the store, you can have it for $199.99". I was given a lecture on supply and demand before I left the store and told the owner I would "never" return. The next day, I purchased the same bottle for $59.99 at Blackwood Liquor and Wine. I called before I went to make sure they had a bottle in stock. They did. There are a lot of options (liquor stores) in Colorado Springs. I would recommend shopping with one other than Interquest Liquor.
