In my opinion, Allison is a world-class children's librarian in that she knows how to really engage her audience on a first name basis--I suspect she could have majored in child development or the dramatic arts by the way she performs stories aloud. I recommend bringing your toddler to this program even if I had to put a mask on my child and fly across the country to see it. It was a such blessing to listen to Heather et al accompany Allison's oration with a violin and viola pair--what a dream team. What I personally like most about this library are the periodical selections on the subtopics of investing and aviation. I enjoy watching AARP members researching investments on nearby tables as if their lives depended on the effort. I also like the DVD and CD selection in the basement. If I had believed my brother or knew the town was this amazing, I think I would have visited sooner!

The maintenance on it must cost us taxpayers a bunch of hard earned tax dollars. Trying to find an entrance took me a very long walk for an 85 year old. I loved the old branch. Yeah, BUT our tax dollars sure did. I could go on for 100 pages but you get the idea. My wife and I will never be back. It is a long drive to down town branch but we might be forced to use it. I didn't say this, but I thought this: no where did it say the maximum time in the library was 30 minutes. Politely, I asked if we should stay until others came in and the capacity was exceeded. The lady librarian asked in a challenging and condescending tone (and I think a look of disgust), "Why would you want to do that?" I responded that we wanted to read some more books. She said, "No, this is no longer a place to hang around." What? I've never been pushed out of a library when there were no other patrons. I didn't see anyone else rushing to get in. I'm very irritated, and I think particularly in difficult times, you should be appreciative of patrons.
