There is a wide variety of course selections, and the state curriculum is not too hard to handle. It's nice that there are different levels of courses, including a very prestigious special education program. However, I feel like the "average" students are "thrown under the bus". The AP students are constantly praised and the students that need extra help are always given the help they need, but the average students just go through high school without the real recognition that they desserve. In addition to academics, the athletics are also successful. The soccer team won the state championship last year, which every student would know because they are CONSTANTLY congratulated and rewarded. It's somewhat annoying but at least they have a successful program. Most of the students are friendly, I have only heard of one bullying situation, but it was immediately taken care of. Overall, I would send my child here. I feel that it is a good atmosphere for a student to make many friends and receive a solid education. My only concern is the safety and stability of the building because the ceiling are full of holes from rain leaking and flooding.

I haven't heard of or seen a school environment as comprehensive in child development as the Waldorf system. Their approach to academics is creative and instills in the child a love for learning. Along with all of the academics their is a strong interest in nature, the arts, music, and interpersonal development creating an environment that is deeply enriching and fulfilling. The Princeton Waldorf campus is beautiful and magical. The family community that develops along with the children is long lasting. I am a parent of a child who graduated in 1992 and continue to be a part of the Waldorf community.
