The PTO is great and very on top of things. As for the teachers, I can only speak about our experience with 3rd grade and Mrs. Royston. She keeps up with the differentiated learning of each student in her class and she is great about making sure the kids are maintaining appropriate responsibilities for their age (8/9 y/o). I am personally amazed at the ways the kids are learning to use technology now. Overall, I am quite happy to be a part of this school.

There is an incredible balance of outdoor play, exploration, and hands-on learning that allows children to lead, discover, and grow at their own pace. The small class sizes have been such a gift, giving my daughter the individualized attention and gentle guidance she truly needs and deserves. One of the things I value most is that parents have a genuine voice here. We aren't just observers--we're participants. Our input is welcomed, our ideas matter, and we're actively involved in our children's educational journey. It feels like a true partnership. Seeing my daughter excited to learn has meant everything to me. This was her very first experience being away from me, and she has loved every moment since day one. She looks forward to school, eagerly shares what she's learned, and is building real friendships while gaining confidence every single day. Beyond the classroom, the sense of community is incredible. We've gained so much more than a school--we've gained a village. The connections with other parents, educators, and families are genuine and supportive. Social and emotional well-being is something the staff take seriously and constantly review and address. PFS believes in the importance of outdoor learning, and often students can be found studying microbiology in a local stream, finding writing inspiration among the trees, and gaining confidence in themselves when working in the garden or exploring the woods. During our search, the office always called us back and they were extremely helpful with any information we needed. We were quite nervous about the transition but after we visited the school, we had no doubt about which school our daughter should attend. She loved it from the very first day. All the teachers and their aids are fantastic! So dedicated, caring, and nurturing. Kids love them! The classes are interesting and full of fantastic projects. She always comes home so happy. The management is very nice, professional, and attentive. Always willing to go above and beyond to make things easy for the parents. We are so happy we found this school!
