All of the staff members have been genuinely curious and open to our ideas and concerns. We are grateful that LCA has integrated our child's strengths into his learning path. This has greatly increased his enthusiasm for school! We were tired of paying private school prices for a public school experience. The Montessori schools are too far away, but that is the type of independent learning environment our child thrives in. I have been told by two of the students (6 and 8yrs) that these teachers are more concerned about what teacher is going where and accusing each other of things they make up on a daily basis. This happens in all work environments without fail but when these teachers are more concerned about getting beck at each other instead of teaching the children, it's no wonder so many of them are being laid off due to their lack of dedication to the students education. It may be due to the fact that the superintendent's wife happens to work there. My point is, if a six and eight year old student have managed to pick up on teachers gossiping, how can we expect our students to get the best education possible if the teachers are more concerned about behaving like teenagers themselves? Cooper balances a healthy mixture of embracing exciting traditions while being trailblazers and innovators in education, advisory curriculum, and athletics. The faculty, staff, and parents are clearly all aligned under a common goal of doing what's best for our students. I can't imagine teaching anywhere else!
