Blood stain on sheet below pillow
Tom P.

We originally planned on staying for 6 nights but left after the third because the room was simply inhospitable. Upon arrival we found a lot of loose hairs in our bed, sheets, and shower. The following day, we discovered bedbugs and dried blood directly on our sheets & pillowcase. We notified the front desk, who insisted that we had cockroaches, not bedbugs so apparently they have both. We asked for a partial refund but was rejected, even after notifying them about the blood and bedbugs. Will not be staying here again, I'm not sure why they expect people to believe the "positive reviews" on here.

Horrible horrible horrible. Room smelly and stuffy. Closet smells horrible like moldy stuffy pee. Air conditioning spit water at me told it was normal and would stop in a few minutes. It didn't. Was told they would have it fixed at 9 am it wasn't. Went back and asked said it would be fixed at 3pm we went out for the day came back at 8pm still was not fixed talked to front desk. They said nothing they could or would do about it asked to speak to the manager and was told no they weren't available. She then closed the window on me. Absolutely ridiculous. Air conditioner has a rag stuffed in it which means they already knew about it. Will never stay here again watch out for room 27! Will post a photo of rag in air conditioning Update. .. After speaking to the manager she said the issue will be fixed and that she would give us another weekend free of charge.

More than hatred this place deserves 0 Stars or negative Stars. Staff was unfriendly and uncooperative they messed up my reservation and made me pay more for it. When I was trying to get it resolved through the travel agency (Agoda) I used they call the hotel to resolve the issue but the hotel continually hung up with them to the point the travel agency had to use me as the communication between them and the hotel continued to be uncooperative. There was no notification and either email or anywhere that there is $100 deposit needed (credit card or cash only) upon check-in. The stove keep trying to light itself by clicking and they said that was normal when I brought it up to them. They were closed New Year's Day and I had to call the number 4 times before they could check me out I strongly recommend not staying here pay the extra and stay somewhere decent it was only slightly better than stay on the street. When taking a shower water was fluctuating in temperature when I wasn't turning the knobs and no power in the in the sink which by the way is right next to where I was supposed to sleep like less than two inches away from my head very tacky if you ask me. There were rips in the curtains and you could hear everything through the walls. The complimentary breakfast is disgusting what looked like week old muffins and donuts. Had no decent channels on the Direct TV and the TV was only like 12 inches

This is a very unusual hotel at the very end of Avalon Street. It has that very edge of town feeling my room was huge and beautiful!

This is a vintage hotel on the outside and and a fully remodeled interior and all of it is stunning from the lobby to the rooms. They have a great pool and gym, steam room and relaxation room. If you want a massage they will handle it. The rooms are all comfortable and quiet. They are spotless and the beds are great. It is quiet and the amenities are great. The service is very good, but they do need to work on getting you into your room on time. The maid service is exceptional. We also love the valets. This hotel is expensive, but great for a special occasion. It has a full bar, room service and at least 3 eateries. We loved having brunch there. Their eggs benedict are just great as is all the food. We did not get a chance to try the other eateries. We loved the pool. The only issue I had was the AC kept going on and off and that is not okay with me, but I assume they have repaired it. You will love this place.

After housekeeping cleared a used teacup from my room earlier in the day, it wasn't replaced...something I'd expect as a basic standard at a hotel of this caliber. I called to request a new one and ended up waiting 21 minutes before calling back for the status on it. I was then told that they would follow up on it and I'd receive an update on the status. 7 more minutes go by - no cup, NO UPDATE. I called back one final time, to which the man on the phone said, yes he put in a rush order and the man who's delivering it is elderly and it might take him just a few minutes longer. I said no problem but just so you know, my cup was taken earlier in the day and not replaced. The man then said he can definitely let housekeeping know for next time. I proceeded to respond and intended to say okay great but before I could even get to the great, he STRAIGHT UP HUNG UP ON ME. Also the person who delivered the cup was a younger boy so idk if the elderly man reasoning was just an excuse for the moment. I went down to the lobby immediately to speak to the manger in person and let her know how insanely unprofessional, unpleasant, and UNCOOL this was. They made an error and I got attitude back for it?! AT A FIVE STAR HOTEL. To their credit, she did apologize and sent up dessert, but by that point the issue wasn't about the teacup or a free comped anything. It was about the breakdown in communication, lack of respect, and service quality. Overall, not the level of service I anticipated for the price, which is disappointing. I will not be staying here again and don't recommend it for anyone else looking for a true five star experience.

Rose Inn - Shutters are a nice touch for those that need to sleep while the sun is up.

However for those of you whom actually travel across the country and have experienced small business motels, inns, hotels this place is pretty decent. It is clean, more modern than not, and has shutters in place for those who work nights. Have not seen any unwanted guests (insects) and the bathrooms do not have any scary mildew stains. The view is not something to be admired but if you want that you might have chosen the Hilton or the Marriott. The good- parking is watched and is decently centralized for guests The bad- it is still an inn/motel so the noise level from outside and neighbors can be a bit more than expected in a hotel The ugly- don't like the bed covers under the spread. They are pretty worn and look like they came out of someone's house. The sheets are as expected.

We didn't want it too far away from the newly purchased home, as the contractors sometimes have questions and need us to be available for decision making purposes. We noticed "The Rose Motel" although not all that updated from the outside, the rooms were clean and had everything you would expect for a local motel at a very reasonable price. We stood the first night which turned out to be very a very pleasant experience and actually a little nicer than we expected for the price so requested a Sunday night with no problem however, on Monday my fiancée was going to pay for another night and unfortunately they were already booked up for the out of town refinery wokers. We were disappointed that they take over all or most of the motels in that area.are going to try and reserve a room for tonight. Because we thought we were going to stay another night, we were over an hour late checking out. It was not a problem to the staff who also happens to own the property.
