I was blown away that this little slice of nature used to be an industrial site and still has activity along the rail tracks, but you'd never know it. It's very peaceful with many types of birds, both air and water borne. I saw several other people in the parking area, but the nature area is so large that you don't see anyone else while walking around. Nice job Albany, I'll put this on my list of places to revisit when I need some respite from the city.

The boat ramp/dock makes it a popular spot for boaters, but by far the most popular mode of transportation were jet skies. Unfortunately it is a rocky beach, so it can only be enjoyable if you bring water shoes. There is one covered shelter, a bathroom and that's about all folks. Not a place where you really want to hang out. Perfectly fine if you have a boat or jet ski and will be spending the majority of your time on the river.

Operated by the county, it is a simple park with a good boat launch, partially shaded parking and your basic picnic and bathroom facilities. It is located 7 miles Northeast of Corvallis and roughly 2-1/2 miles from downtown Albany. My favorite part with was the arched pedestrian bridge over the boat lunch. Trees all around so there is plenty of shade around. I will have some pictures but have to wait for a sunny day. The people who live in the area are pretty nice.
