Curt quoted me at $3,500 for a job replacing a window - I had other quotes for half the cost, but I wanted him to do it because I thought I could trust him and his team. I asked for a cost breakdown and he refused to give one, I said I didn't care how much it was and was willing to pay. He then told me what labor and materials were, which only accounted for $2,500, and could not explain where the other thousand dollars were going. He then said he wanted no part in the job since I had asked for a cost breakdown and that he knew when things "start bad" they "end bad". Curt, newsflash, accounting for costs is a normal and legal part of doing business!
