When poking around on google earth planning our trip i took notice of this due to how close to our hotel it was. I'm glad we made the time to venture to the top via the funicular rail. It takes less than 10 mins to ascend the slope even while changing trains 1/2 way up due to the incline. They have to change the shape of the car to compensate for the steeper ascent. The restaurant at the summit has a pretty nice menu, but be chose to have hot chocolate only. I continued up the hill around the corner to visit the church Chiefs di San Salvatore. It dates from the 12th century, but was rebuilt in the 17th century. read more
