My friend's Subaru blew a head gasket. It was supposed to be done on the next Monday after he…read morebrought it into these guys. Monday came and no word. He called and they said tommorrow. He called everyday after Monday to find out how his car was coming. Everyday they said it will be done tommorrow. Saturday , over a week later, at 1:15 they call to say it's done. 5 Days over due!!!! We get to the shop and try to figure out what happened. This is what happened! They didn't get the parts till wednesday, but still, on Monday and tuesday and wendesday when we called said it would be done tommorrow! They should of said they don't have the parts and we will let you know when we get them to begin work on your car, not it will be done Monday, knowing they didn't have the parts. Then they got the parts and instead of putting a push on getting it done since they were many days over due, they had a car to work on for the St. Patricks day parade, so they worked on it instead. Actually they said they worked on it back and forth, but I don't trust that they did. Okay, so it's done lets just pay and get out of here...Right? No!!!!! They don't take credit cards and they dont tell you that because they "have been open 70 years and have never taken credit cards". I'm not your customer buddy and don't plan on ever being again!!!!! It's now 1:30 on Saturday and there are no banks open, so we go on a wild goose chase with the credit card company on the phone to figure out what a traveling man with a credit card on a saturday can do in an emergency like this. In out mad dash to figure this out and get them on the road, the auto shop calls to say they will have to keep it a few more days to find out why there is oil in the Radiator!!!!!!! They have had the car 9 days now. They messed the job up and now have to keep it longer. It is Saturday and no other shops are open to take it to. We are stuck with these guys and they don't have a clue how to fix the problem. I told another friend what was going on and she said that her dad took his car there to get an axel replaced. IT FELL OFF ON THE WAY ONTO THE HIGHWAY!!!!!!! Right after they fixed it. Dumb and Dumber Auto.

I have friends that have similar experiences with them over the years. The clutch had gone out on the truck, and they had it back to me by Saturday. My family has always, and always will do business with the bourquins, and i recommend all my friends take their cars in there too. They have always been helpful, and stand behind their work. It sucks they dont take credit or debit, but they do take checks which is how we have always paid, And not taking cards is just a small draw back i'm willing to deal with in order to get the great guaranteed work done to my truck. Unlike other shops i've dealt with out of town, these guys wont do work without my approval, and wont try and sell me on things that dont need to be done. they are very fair priced, and very good at what they do...also they are a local family owned business, which here in missoula means a lot. I dont see how someone can give them a bad review, no one i know has ever had a problem with these guys, none of my friends, or my family. i strongly recommend y'all give these guys a chance to show you what great work they do.

I came in the shop and found the batteries at 0%. They said if I didn't want my batteries dead I'd need to get a solar charger. This just didn't make sense since I left the rig in their care for several weeks. At least own the fact that the batteries were nuked!

I say don't go near these people. As a woman traveling alone, I was very worried about having trouble on the Alaska Highway in the middle of nowhere. I contacted Done Rite and they said they could get me fixed up and on the road. I left teardrop with them and received a call later saying that the axle was not bent, that the tires just needed to be greased and they were having trouble getting the tail light to work. Didn't seem right and I questioned how a lack of grease could cause a blow out and the guy assured me this was the case and I did not have a bent axle! For some stupid reason I believed him (he was personable and made me feel as if he were doing me a favor by getting me back on the road) so I acquiesced. The lights they said had to be rewired (whole trailer) and a bad tail light and greasing wheels was $800!!!!! Yes, you guessed it--on my return trip in July, in less than 3000 miles, I had my brand new tire blow out on the Alaska Highway and was I pissed. Fortunately, a guy pulled over to help and he was a mechanic! He knew nothing of the history but told me, as he put my spare on, that the wheel needed to be greased!!!! When i returned to Missoula, I called up and asked to speak to owner to discuss the trouble--I was told he would call back. Nothing, I called several weeks later and got the same treatment. They DO NOT STAND BEHIND their work as stated--they are dishonest and dishonorable--stay away! I never was able to ask what happened or have them try to make it right.
