I wanted to add a section to the bottom of my leg sleeve and have a memory of my Cancun trip, it's been about two years since this session at this shop and I like how my tattoo healed. The older guy who works at this location has been doing this for many years and is very good and a nice fellow. Took him a solid couple hours to bang it out, for it being the ankle it obviously hurt but he knew how to work in the area without discomfort, clean environment and professional. I would visit again when In Cancun. He essentially completed the bottom half of my leg to match my current tattoo colors which was very cool. I have to say I was very nervous getting this tattoo. It has been about 15 years since my last and I was in a foreign country. The shop is very small compared to the ones I'm used to in the U.S. the staff is extremely nice and extremely professional. I heard about the artist, Kenny from a couple staying at the same resort, they had just got matching tattoos. I was impressed with the line work and the use of colors. I contacted them through Facebook and was able to get in that night. I found out it was just a 5inute walk from my resort which is super convenient. Kenny did a quick consultation based on the design I wanted and made me feel very comfortable. After the initial sting of the needle I eventually felt absolutely comfortable and seriously felt no pain during the majority of the 1 1/2- 2 hours I was being worked on. Manuel did an amazing job! Me and my family went to Cancun for vacation and we're undecided on weather to get a tattoo or not . So we went for it and both brothers were so kind and so understanding towards me and my family. Especially me who it was my 1st tattoo ever! Went in with an $80-100 quote with exact measurements and location decided ahead of time. Arrived and I guess I got the "I'm not a local" up charge of $150 MORE. HAD to get it since it was my last day. this place had the best reviews near where we were. i was talking to them on messenger and sent them exact pics of what i wanted (and same pic i showed them in store) and they said it would be $50-70 depending on where i wanted it placed. When i got there, they said it would be $80 which was annoying, but typical mexico stores (from my experience). miguel did a good job tho! read more

I found this place on Yelp before my trip because I get tattoos as souvenirs when I travel. I organized the appointment on Facebook messenger, where I organized the artwork with the artist and he sent me directions from my hotel, a picture of the front AND their tattoo certifications! They were very helpful and attentive organizing the appointment with me and even were fine when I had to reschedule. My artist was the amazing Beto Urruta (Berto!) ! He met me outside and had the artwork ready to go. He was friendly, funny and professional. He opened needles in front of me and showed me expiration dates etc. I was very comfortable. my piece came out awesome even tho it was the most painful thing I've ever gotten (I have many) and Berto put up with my writhing like a champion. This is definitely not a Tattoo shop that's in the states, hygiene is not a priority. I set up a appointment online as posted by another Yelp reviewer. The artist we got was none of the others that was reviewed. Manuel was the artist. Everything started good by artist sending us pictures of their licenses. We arrived at the shop at our 7pm appointment time. Guy was nice, shop and equipment was outdated but, hey it's Mexico. Artist stenciled up design that my wife wanted. Note: my wife has been under a Tattoo artist gun at least 20 times and same with myself. We are familiar with Tattoo shops and practices. It was a first for us that the artist did a water line first. Meaning he Tatted with a water outline and no ink. It started out painful I could tell. The wording was beautiful lines I will say. After a little while into it, I walked down the stairs from the shop to have a smoke. About 2 minuets later my wife showed up to smoke too and she said to me, "Dont leave me alone with that weirdo again". "He said he wanted to see and play with my Couchie!" I never left her side again. Inking was resuming. My wife was whimpering a lot! She was in pain and he was enjoying it. She is far from a wuss and like I said she has been worked on at least 20 times. I noticed that the artist had no visible ink on himself. He said he has no tattoos. Him Having no tats means he has no idea how it should feel. She mustard up the fortitude to get the main part finished but we did not go for extras. Happy with the finished work but not the practice or manners. Go at your own discretion. read more

This place was super sketchy at first, but after visiting the place, I noticed how the staff was super friendly and willing to work with you. I showed Alberto the design I was aiming to get since this was going to be my first tattoo. Throughout the process, Alberto guided and even opened the needles right in front of me. Between my wife and I we have 11 tattoos, including my 1/2 sleeve & chest plate & my wife's full sleeve. We are not rookies and are paranoid/hypersensitive about hygiene and cleanliness, regardless of whether it's tattoos or not. My wife FB messaged a pic of the Mexican Dahlia flower she wanted added to her sleeve. I found a spartan mask I wanted on my right shoulder blade. We walked over and met with Alejandro and he set up an appointment for Friday evening (better not to do it early in the week and have to stay out of the sun and water) as we were leaving Saturday. We went in, with another friend who wanted to clean up one tat and get a new one. Alejandro opened the sterile needles, equipment, etc. used his gloves as he should and used brand new little ink tubs -- just like every 1st class US artist I've had. My wife was adding to her sleeve and Manuel did hers on the inside of her lower bicep. Manuel did the same process of opening new equipment, etc. No issues with the cleanliness or the professionalism of either of the artists!! Each of us is more than happy with ours!! My wife's tattoo is absolutely beautiful and my Spartan mask is perfect! Clarity, level of pain, artwork, skill, aftercare -- you name it, it is on point! And both of their licenses were displayed and up to date! Our friend's tat clean up work made his tat look brand new and his new one was a 4 color and it was absolutely perfect! Costwise, it was actually a little less than I think you'd find in the States. They are friendly, professional, use FB messenger, clean, hygeneic and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone! i asked if they have antiseptic or salt solutions for my peircing. the guy in the front in all seriousness told me to use ocean water or handsoap. this isn't my first rodeo so i knew better than to listen to this nonsense...... makes me wonder what they do to sterilize their equipment and how serious they take their craft, percing or otherwise. read more
