Hello it's been a while since I been there but I know them for having some great BIG 12" MONSTER subs stuff with meat and all the fixings! So I stopped in yesterday come to find out it's under new owners and management meet the owner he very nice and polite and he said it been two days since he been open and the menu on line using your phone ok! So I ordered a turkey club now don't get me wrong everything was fresh and delicious it just needs to be a little more MONSTER it's just average sub I think he use a 10" sub very little meat I didn't want to add veggies cause it would have been a veggies sub so I hope this helps the owner and the viewer's! read more

Sub was average.... better than subway for reference. We didn't feel like driving all the way to la spadas and monster is 4 min away.. It was our first time trying this place and they messed up my sub but not going to make a stink over getting ham instead of salami. The bread was okay, but I've had better. If this joint upgraded the quality of the meat, let's say to boars head for instance, I'd probably give them another shot but otherwise, nah. Not a hard skip, but defo a last resort. Also, their website is out of date and/or incomplete. Great little sub shop inconspicuously located in a little strip of stores. If I had not seen it on Yelp, I would have never known. However, it is a great location for teachers attending training at Rock Island Professional Development Center. I order the brown bag special, which is an awesome deal. It includes a 4 inch Kaiser roll sub, chips, drink, and a cookie, for under $8. I ordered the Italian, and it was yummy. The ingredients are fresh and the staff friendly and helpful. i wish i could have tried this place. came in monday morning around 945 am. the restaurant lists their opening time at 9, so i guess one could safely assume they would be ready for customers at least by 945, if not 9. when i arrived, the girl behind the counter was on her phone and looked a bit annoyed that i was there. there was also a strange smell inside the store. i asked if they have tuna subs, she looked inside the cooler, confirmed they have tuna, but then told me they dont have any bread. i asked if she knew when the bread would be arriving, to which she responded that she didn't know. i left very confused, wondering how a sandwich shop wouldnt have any bread. i also argued with myself about leaving this review, because maybe it was just an off-day. but there is another recent review that sites the changing of ownership, and their lack of products when they tried to order food as well. i hope this review, along with the other one, will wake up the new owners to get their act together. i would suggest either changing the store hours so you are ready for customers when you open, or getting a new supplier / keeping better inventory. read more

These subs were awesome! We were in the area at a football tournament craving a good sub. Monster subs hit the spot! As soon as my son ate his he asked for about her one for later. The next day, my husband joked about driving back down (an hour away) to get another one! They were that good! The sub rolls were soft and fresh! One of the subs we ordered was a hot Philly and it looked amazing! They also delivered them to us a a park!! Small sub shop in a strip off of Oakland park Blvd. Fresh cut meat per order and quality bread make for a great sub! The staff is always friendly and at least every time I've been here the owner was working as well. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are what you'd expect. This place has been under new ownership for about a year I think and while I don't have any experience with this place before, I can say that they are great now and we have been back just about every week for lunch. Eaten here several times in the past few months and I've got to say, this place is really good. It's in a really small shopping center off Oakland Park. Don't let it's remote location and unassuming store front deter you though, this sub shop has got it going on! The manager is almost ALWAYS there to greet you and he always has a smile on his face, and always says thank you for coming as you leave. That right there shows that he really cares about his clientele. "what about the food?" you ask....well, their subs are pure deliciousness. Nothing super fancy here, but they do a great job and everything tastes so fresh. Prices are great and they have combo options too if you're hungry enough. The locals seem fond of this place too, as there is always a crowd during lunch hour. I've only had a few subs from here but they've always been good. The 6" is plenty filling too, but if you're really hungry the 12" will definitely please your appetite. Well, what are you waiting for?! I had the pastrami foot long with chips and a drink. It was very good compared to other subs I've had in the area. The meat was fairly good quality. This is the place to go for some good subs that aren't overpriced! This is my favorite place to go when I'm craving a sub. They also have really salads and soups! I normally order the brown bag lunch. This comes with a sandwich on a kaiser roll, chips, a cookie and a drink. It is perfect for lunch! The service is also amazing. Everyone who works here is so friendly and it makes this place even better. I have never had bad service here. So glad I found this place on Yelp! I have the Italian Sub (turkey sub in the background). The staff is nice and the food is great. They really pack the meat in there! I got a 12" but the 8" would have been more than enough. My only "complaint" is that the bread is completely cut in half, separating the top from the bottom, making it a little difficult to keep the good stuff inside the bread. This is my go to place everyday for lunch. The owner & staff are on top of their game serving the best salads, soups and subs around. My favorite is the Chef Salad which I highly recommend. I also suggest to try the meatloaf,Philly cheese steak subs and the homemade soups. I look so forward to my daily visit seeing the owner/chef David, NeNe and the rest of the staff everyday! I was starved, placed my order by phone, young lady was so professiona, spoke clearly and all, went to pick up my Sub, tipped the young lady $3, got back to the office, opened, bread crmbled, cucumbers and olives were old, only thing fresh was the pickle, even the sweet Ice tea had a funny taste. Subs were amazing and the workers are super nice and inviting. I'm not a big fan of subs like the cheap meat taste and the meat here is freshly sliced and tastes like it's straight from the deli. At Monster Sub, I had the most delicious egg salad sandwich with a nice side of cheetos. The white bread is the fluffiest bread I have ever had. The 8" sub was plenty for me, but if you are hungrier you can get a 12". In my egg salad sandwich, I got it with provolone cheese, light mayo, tomatoes, lettuce, and onions. It is similar in fashion to Subway where you pick what toppings you want, but there is so much more variety here in the types of sandwiches.
