A word of warning, Chamartin station is under construction and can be a nightmare to get out of a taxi during peak times... Currently, Spain still requires face masks to travel on any public transportation, so check the status of this rule before you anger the driver getting into the vehicle without a mask.

However, we did have 2 big suitcases, no sense of direction (yet), and at least for Gayle a big case of Arrival Anxiety (AA) This time around, AA cost us 26.55 Euros and it was probably a good deal. The cab driver was friendly, professional, a good driver, and seemed to be heading in the most efficient direction. And before we knew it, we were right at the front door of the Hotel with our bags already taken out for us. Best of all, Gayle was Happy and when she's Happy.....
