Blast from the past - baby boomer toy memorabilia on display in the children's section.

Excellent library. It's modern looking and well organized. I've mostly been at the children's section. (Shame on me for not reading more) They have a enormous selection of books, and they are always adding new ones. If you can not find a book you can search their book database at another participating library and they will get it for you. You can also reserve a book to be held for you when it becomes available. In addition to books, you can rent movies, music, and video games. The children's section has computers with educational games, and there are usually a calendar of kids activities and classes that you can sign your child up for. The librarians are friendly, will help you find what you need. The library also has a lot of computers you can surf the web for free (if you have a library card). Surprisingly you can even eat at the library. I was shocked to see that myself. I'm happy to have this library as a Monroe resident. It definitely feels good to see your tax dollars put to good use.

Well-endowed and well-furnished, EBPL has all of the library essentials--and then some:…read more *In-person passport services from an authorized passport application acceptance facility ($25 agency execution fee charged by EBPL in addition to renewal fee to the US DOS) *Café area with snack and coffee vending machines, magazines, and newspapers *Nintendo DS and PS3 games, anime DVDs, English-language graphic novels (trade paperback), audiobooks, and music CDs for rental *Foreign language books and newspapers *Youth services area with booth seating, power outlets, and computers *Dedicated rooms for quiet study, children's programming, and special events *Two self-service checkout stations I'm not terribly impressed with the old, tiled, poorly ventilated two-stall restrooms by the mystery section and the conference rooms. The parking lot at the main entrance has about 60 non-handicapped, non-temporary parking spaces, but is usually full in the afternoons and evenings. Overflow parking is available on the other side of the senior center and town hall, which are both in the same complex. Be prepared to yield to children, elderly pedestrians, and occasionally police cars.

Best library I've ever been to. I never thought I'd be Duke of a library, and I'll bet no teacher I…read moreever had did either. They get some fairly new movies in circulation and they have tons of video games for all systems. What's crazy is that video games are like $2 for 2 weeks and movies are like a buck each for a week. Don't quote me on those prices, but it's cheap. Makes you wonder why people still rent from Blockbuster and Independent video stores... Either way I always see those sometimes hard sometimes soft things ...tacos? No, I think it's something with a B. I see a TON of them on my way to the games/movies. I picked one up once and while the cover had me fooled into thinking it was something delicious it turns out they aren't edible.

English literature they have stopped accepting books donation, and foreign language literatures, they would have to check, but most likely they won't accept. Be sure the foreign language books are educational and in mint condition. Inside the library was smaller than I thought, but it was cozy in each floor. Although the library is overall very quiet, I couldn't find an empty study room, during Summer vacation, and in the morning! Glad to see our younger generations still read and study!! Not only no study room available, but all seatings are occupied. Mix feeling ... I wonder how's it like during weekends. I decided to walk around before I left the library. There was an undone puzzles spread on the public table. Very cute and welcoming. The staffs are friendly and attentive.

Think prison matrons without the mirth. Go shush yourself, Mrs. Harris. Maybe David Lee Roth found them hot (or was he hot for teacher, I can't remember) but Diamond Dave was never in Nanuet, New York during the Ford administration when these stoic sentinels were more like Edsels. Trust me, in the days before Al Gore invented the internet, the library was a place you wanted to spend as little time in as humanly possible so you could rush back to the mall and do absolutely nothing. Fast forward to Plainsboro, New Jersey present day and the Plainsboro Public Library is a place built for comfort and social gathering. In fact, given the Stepford-like visage of the surrounding village, it seems to be the only place in this silent burb where life occurs in real time. Bright, spacious and full of hang out seating, plugs for your laptop and multiple rows of desktop PC's, the PPL is a fantastic place to hunker down on a project, job search, college hunt or just catch up on an endless assortment of newspapers and periodicals. Personally, I enjoy their wide-ranging selection of DVDs and CDs. And the staff (now Library Scientists) couldn't be nicer or more helpful. The Plainsboro Public Library - no card catalog, mold spores or fussbudget crones to make your visit a living hell. A very casual five stars. Hanging out in Stepford, New Jersey never felt so good. I haven't tried to check-out Dr. Suess lately but hopefully that little cancel culture sideshow is not going to be fodder for my next review. Bye for now, I think I see Katherine Ross and Tina Louise over by the printers.

Though it's a smaller library compared to East Brunswick, there is something for everyone. They have a decent children's section with a small play and game area, computers for the patrons to use, a quiet study room, young adult section, tons of DVDs, games, books on cds, magazines, and of course books! Sometimes I like coming here and perusing the book titles for a good read. They even have foreign language books and movies. There is a lot of seating, tables, and places to study or get your work done. The staff is helpful and nice. If you are a member of another library in Middlesex county, you can have other books or items shipped to this library and pick it up when it arrives. Super convenient! If you need to print something in color, it costs $.25! Such a good deal! Black & white are $.10 each. If you're not a fan of rambunctious tweens, I would avoid going here between 3-4PM during the weekdays. Most kids just don't know how to act in libraries. Love this place and am thankful for all they do for the community.
