I went back into his shop on Monday and he explained what the coins were worth (at market rate). He was also very upfront and transparent on his fees (which ended up being around 10%). Everything seemed reasonable so I proceeded forward. He wrote me a check and kept the silver and the transaction was complete. It couldn't have been any easier. I was able to watch the gentleman who helped me weigh what I brought in, he showed me the entire calculation of what they were offering, including the rates. This was refreshing as some other store hid their scales and were shady about the numbers they relayed to me. My one recommendation coming out of this is to get multiple offers for what you are selling. I'm not naming names of any competitors or anything like that in this review, you have to do your own due dillegence and drive around a bit when you sell. I'm sure there are many other factors including recent purchases, refiner's cuts, etc. for each store to consider when they make an offer. I will say that for silver, at the time of my visit, this store was not offering a competitive rate compared to every other store that I visited. This may change from time to time due to the factors I listed above (and others), but at the time of my visit, it simply was not close to market rate. I will still give the store a 5 star rating, particularly for their honesty. I'm putting it out there yet again for inexperienced sellers who are going through an estate similar to myself, take the time to GET MULTIPLE OFFERS from different stores. The final price I sold my items for was significantly higher than what I was offered here. Having said all of that, I would not hesitate to return to this store in the future. The most professional and nicest people I met on my journey to sell.

She asked me to come back the next day because their "silver" guy would be there. He was late arriving and basically re tested the same pieces and said he didn't want and just walked away. Rude. So I packed up and took it elsewhere and sold the set as sterling silver. I don't recommend this place but Melissa was nice.
