I was greeted immediately and asked if I needed help with anything, cause I probly looked a bit lost. The store is quite large, and beautifully put together and well organized, there are machines strategically placed around to cut material and help with various quilting projects, as well as a large classroom seating area! I was able to get all my questions answered about the project I was trying to work on as well as questions about the machines! The staff is highly informed and very helpful, especially to a newbie like myself. I was able to learn a lot about the different machines and the fabrics. There are hundreds and hundreds of all different printed materials, you will definitely find anything you need and more for any sort of quilt project, too many colors and prints to write on paper! I was able to get some beautiful high quality, soft, red and grey, minky fabric, and cannot wait to use it to attempt to make a huge blanket/quilt. Please do yourself a solid, and check out this incredible store if you have any sort of quilting project, or would like to join one of the many classes they offer!

And sure enough I ran into problems. Even though I didn't buy from Sunshine they were so helpful. I was having a problem with embroidery. The lady that did embroidery/service wasn't in when I went in but within 10 mins of leaving the shop I got a call with suggestions on how to fix my problem. I'm also excited to learn about their "adoption" program for Bernina owners so they can take advantage of the owner classes.

For the most part I'll be back…read more I was in search of a print shop, but more importantly I wanted a quick turnaround and a quality shirt. Well here I am! I did a quick search on Google and found this place that's within 10 minutes of my current location. Talk about timing - perfect! This shop is located inside of Pembroke Mall in Virginia Beach...it's not to far from the department store, Sears. I walked in and two employees were working on products, but I was immediately greeted upon entering. I spent maybe 10 minutes in the store and the male employee advised he could do the custom shirt for $25. Now if I have my own shirt, the cost will be $20. Special thanks to Sears - I found the shirt I needed and it was on sale. I returned and went over the details of print I wanted on the shirt. Everything seemed simple enough - all good! However, the pick up date was set for the following day. I'm not sure why the shirt wasn't printed at the time I placed the order, but I didn't need it until the following Monday, so no worries here. So it's 5pm the next day and my shirt is ready for pick up! But OMG!!! The shirt was printed with the color I DID NOT request! OMG... I was a little disappointed but after a minute or so of explaining myself to the same guy I placed my order with, he advised "bring me another shirt and I'll reprint it for you" - OMG again so thankful for Sears - another quick run and picked up the same style/color shirt. I returned back to the shop and my shirt was printed in minutes. Needless to say, I have two shirts now. Two for the price of one! So yeah how can I possibly be mad now. I'm giving this place nothing less than four stars because of the customer service and convenience. I quickly turned my frown right-side up! My advice to you - if you decide to use this company triple check to make sure they have the details of your order right the first time. The owner of this business should spend some time either re-training his/her staff or replacing them -- these two people will impact your business in a negative way. No matter when I come, lunch or after work, there's literally 1 associate in the store. The line is always long and the associate is typically slow moving. There's ample parking outside shared with the other stores, but spaces directly in front of the store can fill up very fast. If you don't mind walking, there's always a space in the parking lot. For starters, I'm beyond impressed at the variety of crafts and art supplies available. Then there's the constant discounts that change throughout the year; 40% off Halloween items, 50% off all baskets and decorative boxes, 40% off Fall items, buy one get one 50% off wedding decor, invites and accessories etc etc.. it's fantastic! I walked in to the vortex at 1.40PM and left at 3PM.... I walked down every single aisle, some twice. Sad, I know. I went in there with no idea of what I wanted to buy, no game plan; no strategy - some would say that's dangerous. What can I say, I like living on the edge.. I ended up with a new sketch book, colouring pencils, a pencil set and pens which came to $25 - I opted for the budget stuff this time, mostly because I could not justify spending 100 bucks on a colouring set - yet The checkouts were all occupied, and there was no queue which is always awesome. The cashier who served me was pleasant, friendly and informative about future offers and events that take place in store customers can get involved in for a small fee. Something for adults, and something for kids. Nice! You get 5 stars Michaels; you kept the place clean and tidy, even with all the customers rummaging around for a good deal.
