Amazing Potato Salad !!!!
Humberto Q.

We're from California and must say that when visiting Toledo we always stop at Monnette's Market for the amazing Potato Salad and friendly service. On this day we had a great experience at the deli counter. We didn't get her name but she was super friendly and made our visit memorable. The ambiance in the store is what brings us back over and over. Great job !!!

Kroger price for 12oz miracle and larger
Gregory S.

On June 1st I purchased a 12oz bottle of miracle whip. When I got home I realized the price tag said $5.99. Seems high to me. I called them the young man that answered said I was charged correctly. He said he checked. Kroger's price for the same size Is considerably lower. They're charging prices like a carryout!!

The meat counter is the best!

A fan of the local man, Monettes does the trick! When I'm in a rush on the way to the hospital or school, I always find myself flying by this place. I see their deals posted outside, and always see a lot of people going in, but I never really went in myself until yesterday. Man - I wish I went there earlier. While I am a foodie myself, I do love to cook. I've started to get myself into a healthier diet with as much fresh food as I can. If you're looking for good fruits, veggies, meats, and cheeses at a great price and fresh as all-get-out (yes, I did just say all-get-out), the you can't go wrong. I either looked super lost, was looking at everything in great detail, or the people are really nice - but either way, I was asked by several folks if I needed help. I'm not usually a big fan of people being in my space when I shop, but there was something about approaching me with a smile that helped. This is a place that I will be back to shop more often. There's a charm about Monettes, and a charm that I think many people can appreciate and enjoy as well!

I love shopping here. Always has reasonable prices. Sometimes I hate how crowded it gets but I guess that can be expected.

Review Highlights - Monnette's Market

There have been a few times that I've purchased lunch meat that only after a day or two it went bad, but they always took it back and offered me something in return.

MacQueen's is a local business that has been around for years and not only do they offer pick your own apples and pumpkins, they have a nice produce selection, jam & jelly room, bakery (nothing better than warm donuts this time of year), cider mill where you can watch the bottling process, and a room full of Christmas decor. Staff is friendly and helpful even when they have a ton of people meandering about. Prices are fair for the quality of product and as I mentioned previously, their warm donuts are a hit! We will be back...

I'm glad we came earlier in the season because there was plenty of fruit to pick from! Why I'm giving this place 3 stars: - There was a hole in the wagon wheel, in my opinion, someone should be keeping up with small maintenance things like that since the season is about to be in full swing. - The older ladies who were working outside made me uncomfortable as I was walking passed an empty booth and were not very friendly about the fact that I didn't know about a blue ticket I was supposed to have (my dad was the one who paid to get the apples and was walking in behind me). I would have been understanding but they were just judgmental and condescending about it. If it's such a big deal someone should be at that booth ready to check tickets if they know people are driving up.... -Donuts were nothing special but they do have A LOT of yummy looking choices -Really good selection of apples but horrible signage. There is a map but you have to take a picture or study it really well or you'll have no idea what you're picking. -If you have a hard time walking, this is probably not the place for you. Overall, there was a super sweet girl working the bakery. There's a corn maze that looks fun and plenty of pumpkins to choose from so it's not my favorite place but I might be back for the maze.

This is one of the small, terrible cruelties of modern life. Inside this easily overlooked structure lives the Phoenix Earth Food Co-Op, where a small and lovely group of people attempt the nearly impossible task of living carefully in a world that punishes care. The shelves are clean. The lights are honest. The vegetables have come from soil that someone, somewhere, still loves. Here, briefly, the indifferent machinery of industrial food is held at bay by the careful arrangement of dried lentils. I urge you to find it. The difficulty of finding it is part of its meaning. What is worth knowing in this life is almost always hidden in plain sight -- and we walk past, and we do not see.

The neighborhood feels sketchy and I couldn't tell where to park; also, the staff could've been more knowledgeable - it was apparent the manager just hired someone to man the register, but who is clearly not a natural foods convert herself.
